Chapter 4: The Breaking Point

Lucy's PoV

After being treated and slightly returning to my original state, Juvia and Gray burst through the guild doors. "Is she alright?" Gray asked as Juvis runs up to me. "I'm fine guys. Look! Bran spanking new!" I laugh, raising my hands in the air. "That's only because of your smoke dragon slaying magic, but that doesn't explain the fact that you almost died as well. You should probably talk to your parents about this." Mira states, giving me another glass of water. "I was so worried, Lucy! And don't worry, we put out the fire." Juvia cheers, hugging me tightly, the last part being a bit uneasy. "How bad is it?" Natsu asks Gray, his eye stitching as Juvia squeezes me. "I'll show you later. Let's just say..." He says something in a very low voice, that I can't even hear, and Natsu's face goes dreadfully pale. "That's okay." He laughs sheepishly, trying, but failing, to hide the worry in his voice. "It's burnt to a crisp isn't it?" I ask, flopping my head on the table with a soft thump. "Sorry Lu-chan. You can bunk with me while you look for another place." Levy-chan pays my back lightly. "It's okay. I have to visit my parents to ask why my powers were working earlier, so we might stay there for a couple days." I groan, lifting my head up again. "You should probably go before they find out, you don't want them finding out through gossip." Ersa laughs, knowing how quickly word travels there. "What? Like how I heard from Metalicana that Jerral and Ersa are pregnant!" I slip out, saying my thoughts aloud. "WHAT?" The whole guild screams. "LUCY!" Jerral and Ersa whine at me. "Whoops, sorry." I smile sheepishly. "H-How did you know? We haven't told anyone yet." Ersa stutters nervously as Mira shoots her a deathly stare, probably because she hadn't told her. "Well. Y'know how the dragons are all mighty and all." I start off wearily. Jerral and Ersa both nod. "Weeeelllll. They kinda have a lacrima watching over FairyTail." I shut my eyes instantly, waiting for the screams again. "WHAT?" There it is! "But don't worry. They don't follow you into the bathroom." I add, hoping to make the matter better. "That doesn't help,with anything at all." Levy pouts.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Wendy's face full of shock. "Wendy. It's alright. You should ask him again. Try making your feelings clearer this time." I telepathically tell her. She looks in my direction, even more shocked, then relaxes her face to a smile. "Tell me what happens when I get back, okay?" I giggle, making her wink back. She's growing up so fast.

Not wanting to see the house, or waste any time, Natsu and I set off to the Dragon Realm. "Bye everyone! We'll see you in a few days! Happy, you're going to be Wendy's and Luna's bong to be staying at Gajeel's." I pat their heads and wave at everyone, before turn around to start producing the portal. "See yah! And good luck with Ersa, Jerral." Natsu laughs before we both walk through the portal, Ersa screaming angrily behind us and Jerral praying for his survival in the corner.

When we get to the Realm, we end up teleporting to the palace. "Wow Luce. You're gettin' good at this." Natsu laughs, putting me in a head lock and rubbing my head roughly. "Hey! Ow that hurts!" I giggle, try to escape. "LUCY!" I hear my parents and the dragons in front of us and look up to see them all running towards us. I guess they already found out. I sweat drop as they all jump in us, making a huge dog pile. Then everybody jumps up again. "Lucy! I was so worried! Are you okay? Why didn't you use your magic? How many times have I to you to be careful around fire! Lucy I was so worried!" Galaxia goes through a world of emotions before hugging me tightly again. "Lucy, we need to talk. Now." My dad states in a stern and business like voice, pulling Galaxia off me. "Yes father." I stand up straight and we all go to sit in the drawing room.

With Natsu and I sitting on one coach, Galaxia and Metalicana on their own, Grandeeney and Igneel on their own,  my parents siting opposite of us, we start talking about my powers. "This may be side affects from the season changing incident." Grandeeney proposes. "No, we ran tests after that. She's perfectly fine." Metalicana states, worry painted on his face. "Is it mating season?" Galaxia asks. "No. That's not for a year or so." Igneel looks at a calendar that he pulled out of nowhere, pushing a pair of glasses, that also appears out of nothingness, higher up his face. "Then what could it be?" My father asks, frustrated. "It's breaking point." My mother states. We all look at her with questioning looks. She sighs. "Breaking point is when the dragon princess is all its turning 19 or 20." My mother pulls out a pie chart, as well, out of thin air. "Because Lucy has Nature's Blessings magic, her time spent in the Dragon Realm stopped her from ageing, also allowing her to stay awake. Because of this, Breaking point has seemingly come early, as your birthday is in July." Mom points at points on the chart to explain visually. "So, what happens in Breaking point? How long does it go for?" Natsu asks, resting his elbows on his knees and holding my left hand in both of his. "Her magic will either go out of control, or deplete completely. It would normally last for a week or two." She things, leaning on the pointer she used for the chart. "Also, you'll become insanely weak and will have strange cravings. It's basically like the dragon's pregnancy." Mom beckons to the over grown dragon who goes by the name Galaxia.

She smiles wearily at us. "Honey, can you get me so aurora borealis. Pwetty pwease." She cups her hands under her chin and pulls the cutest puppy dog eyes I've ever seen. "But that's all the way in the Celestial World. I don't even know how to get those!" Metalicana freaks out. "O-Oh okay. I'm sorry f-for asking." Tears brim in her eyes. "Don't worry! I can do it! Please don't cry." Metalicana gets in his knees and holds her hands in his. "Yay!" She cheers, fully recovered. We all sweat drop. "I could call Virgo for you?" I whisper to Metalicana and he nods his head quickly. "Alright! I SUMMON THE SPIRIT OF THE MAIDEN! VIRGO!" I chant, for once in a long time, and I hear the familiar sound of the bells and a light before my eyes. "Horse! Well, howdy doody milady!" The half horse, half man saluted me. "Sagittarius! What happened? I thought I summoned Virgo?" I look at the keys on my chain and the one in my hand. "Luce. Breaking point. Did you already forget?" Natsu whispered to me with a smirk and I face palmed. "What can I do for you today, Milady?" Sagittarius continues to salute me. "Um, Sagittarius. Do you know how to catch Aurora Borealis?" I ask wearily. "Certainly, Milady! I am the only spirit who can do so!" He cheers. "Well, I guess that back fire, didn't really back fire." Dad scoffed. "Sagittarius! Thank you! You are my savour!" Metalicana cheers, swiping the lights from his hands and presenting it to Galaxia.

As she cries tears of joy, along with the father of her baby, I thank Sagittarius and send him back to the Celestial World. "Will you be staying here until you find a new place?" Mom asks me, pushing the pie chart diagram to where ever she got it from, which was just pushing it out the door, making the sound of a cat scowling and crashing. "U-Um, yeah, I think so. But I was going to talk to Natsu about that one." I smile, scared of what she had hit. "What do you mean?" She sits down like nothing had happened, pouring me some tea. "I was going to ask him if he wanted to make our own house!" I squeal, giggling at my dream since childhood, to build my own house with my knight in shining armour, although, his armour wasn't so shiny. "That's so cute! I'm sure he'll love the idea." Mom squeals. No one else had heard this, because the men were fighting, and the girls were taking about the baby, Metalicana cowering in the corner, because of something Galaxia had done I think. "I'll ask him tonight, but I'm wiped right now. I'll see you in the morning mom!" I quickly finish my tea and run out the room, waving at everyone on my way out.
