Part 3: WHA....?!?

"Ummmm, how do I say this....? Um.. I was wondering if you maybe wanted to see a movie with me... tonight?"
I stood there flabbergasted. Bradley Johnston wanted to go so a movie tonight with me?!? Why? And then it hit me. Someone put him up to this. It wouldnt even be logical any other way. He never even acknowledged me in high school, so why would he do so now?
"Look, Bradley, I'm really sorry if someone put you up to this. I feel really bad for you. No one should ever dare someone to ask someone out on a date. And at our age? That is ridiculous! I mean, we are 24 for Christ's sake! We aren't in high scho-" Bradley cut me off mid-sentence.
"No one put me up to this Mel. I saw your ad in the newspaper and I recognized your name. When I read on, I knew that we went to Bay High together. I was interested to get to know you because I didnt in high school. And that was wrong of me, because you seem really nice." With that he offered me a kind, welcoming smile. "So whaddaya say?" He said slurring together half of the sentence into one word.
Hmmmmm. I was lost for words. Bradley Johnston was accually looking to make amends for not acknowledging me. My mind was blown.
"Um, sure! Why not? I always liked to try new things!" I was surprised with my answer. When did i tell myself to say that?! What was wrong with me?! Now I sound way to eager! That's probably going to keep him away for good!
"Okay! Perfect! Do you mind if i have your address so I can pick you up like a proper gentleman?" I could hear him chuckle at his words. I could already tell, that even if this didnt work out, it at least it wouldn't crash and burn.
"Why yes you can Bradley!" I said with a silly smile. And with that I gave him my address, and we went our separate ways.
"See you tonight Brad!" I yelled out to him.
"And same to you m'lady!" He said with a goofy smirk.
