Finally school was finished and I was waiting by Matty's truck. Matty,Jake,Lissa,Jenna,Tamara and I were suppose to go out for ice-cream. About 5 minutes later they all showed up.

"Finally! You guys move slower than a snail." I greeted them.

"Oh sis! You just want your ice-cream" Matty said lightly shoving me.

"So we found a problem. We can't fit 6 people in Matty's truck. So we decided that I can take you and Lissa and Matty can take Jenna and Tamara. How does that sound" Jake asked me.

"Well could't he just..." I trailed off. Even though I could probably fit in Matty's truck he probably wanted to hang out with Jenna but not making it look weird. Anyways, I was totally cool with hanging out with Jake....Even if his girlfriend was there.

"Yea! That sounds great." I replied giving Jake a smile.

"K. Well I will see you there Ally." Matty said giving me a nod then opening the door for Jenna and Tamara.

"Bye." I said following Jake and Lissa to Jake's car.

I climbed into the back of his 1968 Mustang convertible (Which was red and pretty cool looking) and listen to him and Lissa fight over some band name.

We were halfway to the ice-cream shop when Jake suddenly turned up the radio and shouted over the music "I LOVE THIS SONG!"

I listened and realize it was Sounds of Silence by Disturbed.

Hello darkness, my old friend

I've come to talk with you again

Because a vision softly creeping

Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence.

"SO ALLY! HOW LONG ARE YOU AND MATTY STAYING IN THE AREA?" Jake yelled over the music.

" UM.....I DON'T KNOW! I THINK WE ARE STAYING UNTIL WE FINISHED SENIOR YEAR!" I yelled back letting the music sweep me in again.

Neath the halo of a streetlamp

I turned my collar to the cold and damp

When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light

That split the night

And touched the sound of silence

"JAKEY? CAN YOU TURN DOWN THE MUSIC. I CAN BARLEY HEAR MYSELF THINK!" Lissa cried over the music.

I had to hold back a laugh. Lissa? Thinking? I would believe it when I see it.

"NO! WAIT TILL THE SONG IS OVER!" Jake yelled back.

"And the people bowed and prayed

To the neon god they made

And the sign flashed out its warning

In the words that it was forming

And the sign said "The words of the prophets

Are written on subway walls

And tenement halls

And whispered in the sounds of silence".

We got to the ice-cream shop as soon as the song finished. I was pretty sure Jake went the longer route just so he could fished the song. I couldn't argue with him. I really love that song.
