I can't take it anymore!" Prince Mark said as he ran to his rather large bedroom. He barged through the tall solid oak door and plopped face first into his ,ironically, king size bed. As you can clearly see he's pissed off. He's pissed off because his parents are forcing him to marry a princess from another kingdom. The princess's name was Gertrude. She was about 30 years of age with premature rinkles from smoking pipes, a huge pig-like nose, and always had her hair teased about a foot high. On top of that she was rude and everyone in the kingdom knows she's a whore.

Now prince Mark on the other hand was a dark haired man with deep brown eyes and a rather muscular build. He was also 21 years old and a little immature,(in a cute way). But unfortunately, his kingdom was becoming bankrupt and the only way to fix this problem was to marry Gertrude.

"I need to get out of here. Maybe not forever but at least until this whole marriage thing blows over." Mark said to himself. He began to pack a bag filled with precious belongings and other essentials he needed for a years worth on his own. He also packed a small sack of gold coins, in case he needed to buy more food or something else. He had everything ready for his journey but he overlooked one thing- his kingdom rested on an island. He mentally face palmed himself for not thinking of this earlier. Then he remembered. When he was younger his father and himself made a small boat for Mark so that he could go fishing. Mark would use it every chance he got but stopped after the "incident ". But that's a story for another time.

At around midnight he snuck out of the kingdom through the maids entrance. On the way out he ran into one of the maids. Her name was Jenna. She was very pretty but a little old for Mark. She was also married to the kingdoms baker, Julian.

Mark told Jenna his plan and although she thought it was a bad idea, she let him go. Mark then continued his way toward the docks. When he got there he got into the small wooden boat and untied the rope that kept the boat from going off into sea. He was a little scared because It was dark out and it's been a long time since he rode his small boat.

After about a half hour of rowing the boat out to sea he decided to take a small rest. He turned off the lantern at the head of the boat and laid down. He gazed up at the beautiful stars and thought about the future and wondered what his journey had in store.
