Chapter 3
Cole's P.O.V
I breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that he hadn't pointed out my little display of emotion. I didn't know where we were supposed to go from here, I was at a complete loss. What were we supposed to do ?
"So uh.. What do we do now ?" I asked nervously, unsure of whether or not he would think I was asking a stupid question. He tore his eyes away from the breathtaking view we were able to see and looked at me, smiling brightly although his smile didn't reach his eyes. He looked unsure.
"I was hoping I could spend the next few days getting to know my brother, that is if you want to ?" He asked in a calm voice, not allowing his inner doubts to leak through to his voice. I nodded, for the faintest second forgetting that it was my brother sat in front of me. Once I realized that I quickly smiled at him, hoping he didn't think I wasn't happy with what he had suggested.
"That sound's like a great idea to me." I replied with the faintest of smiles gracing my lips briefly.
Chris's P.O.V
I was happy that Cole wanted to get to know me, but I was even happier that he was giving me the chance to get to know him. I didn't get my hopes up because I knew he wasn't ready to tell me the things that had happened to him that made him the person he was today. I knew he needed time before he would be ready to tell me that, but more importantly he needed to feel he could trust me.
"Should we head home for now and meet up tomorrow then ?" I asked him hopefully.
"Yeah, that sounds good." He replied.
I looked around once more, not really wanting to leave this place. To others it may just be another Cafe, but to me it was a place I could call an escape. To me this Cafe was the place I could go to when I needed some space or when I needed to calm down and think about everything. This place always managed to put my wolf at ease as well, which in itself is quite the feat. The view this Cafe gave you had mesmerizing qualities, depending on the time you came here and the view from the place you sat, you could always without a doubt see the faintest streaks of light in the sky, gradually growing, the bright mix of colours swirling together creating the perfect sunset you could not replicate the beauty of. This place had helped me so many times and in so many ways, I wouldn't dream of not coming here and missing the sunrise and the sunset. Of missing the calm, quiet, serenity of the place, not overly stuffed with people, yet occupied enough to give the place the lively yet relaxing buzz. Of missing the respect and pure care from the people within.
I got up from my seat slowly, trying to prolong leaving for as long as possible. Of course that didn't go well, Cole got up from his seat and began to walk towards the front entrance so I followed behind him slowly.
Once we were outside I looked up at the sky, only to look back at the ground within the same second. The sun shone brightly in the sky, making it a very hot day but the wind gently breezing past cooled down the temperature slightly. With our heightened senses looking at the sun was not the greatest idea, the sun being brighter caused me to go momentarily blind from the sheer intensity of it. When I was finally able to see again I Iooked around for Cole, wondering if he saw my momentary problem, if he did he showed no signs of it. Thankfully I was drawn out of my inner thoughts by the sight in front of me.
In front of me, my brother was standing besides a motorcycle. I was about to tell him to move away from it before the owner saw him near their bike and got the wrong impression. He glanced back at the motorcycle and then focused on me.
"This is my baby." He stated motioning his hand towards the machine. I think my jaw hit the floor. It wasn't that I was shocked it was his motorcycle, even though I was, it was the bike itself that had my rapt attention.
