My eyes widen at the costumer. His green eyes stare at me.

"Hey! It's you! The girl who almost got ran over." So, that's what I am to you? "Yup. So, what can I get you?" I ask. He looks at the menu. Studying it, and making a thinking face. I nibble on the end of my pen as I wait.

His curls cover his ears and are styled perfectly. His green eyes scan the menu. He's pretty cute.

"I'll have the fish and chips." He grins and hands me the menu. I take the menu from his large hand and scribble down his order. "Anything to drink?" He ponders. "Pepsi." I nod and scribble it down. "Ok! I'll be back soon with your order!" I smile wide, trying to keep a positive attitude. And with that I walk off.

I stick the pen behind my ear, and walk to the kitchen window, where Sal is. I tear the paper off the notepad an slap it down in front of Sal. "Order for Table 3." I say.

Sal picks up the paper and starts to make the order.

"So, that guy you were talking too...Boyfriend?" Sal looked up front the food, at me. My eyes widen and I shake my head. "NO! Just some guy..." I play with the of my uniform. Sal chuckles and shakes his head. "By the way he looked at you I could say he fancies you." My head shoots up. Sal laughs, and I roll my eyes.

"Ha..Ha....He doesn't fancy me. Just a costumer." I put my elbows on the counter and rest my head in my hands. "I can get a guy anyway." I huff. Sal puts the fish and chips on a plate. "Nah! your a young, beautiful girl. Your happy ending is coming soon!"

I smile at the thought of finding the perfect guy. I've had my break broken a few times. I gave up on trying to find that special guy a few months ago, when my boyfriend used me for sex. He almost got me drunk. But, luckily, Cassidy stopped by my house and beat his ass. We never had sex. I'm so lucky to have Cass.

I smile at Sal. He hands me the plate. "Table 3." He states. I take the plate and walk to Table 3, to see Cece sitting across from the guy. I can't remember his name. She laughs and flips her hair. I grunt and make my way over to them.

I place the food in front of him. His eyes seem to light up when he sees me. "Thanks..." He pauses and glances at my name tag. "Emma!" He grins and I nod. "I see you've met Cece." I motion to Cece. She giggles. Lord help us.

"Yah...So, thanks again!" I nod and walk away.

Its been an hour and he's still here. He has finished his food, but Cece is flirting him up.

I grab my bag from the break room and walk into the kitchen. "Bye Sal! I'm leaving!" I give him a hug. His large meaty arms rap around me. "Bye sweetheart! Tell your Dad I said hey!" his country accent thickens. He's from America. My heart stops at that word. Dad.

My Dad is dead. Long story, Don't ask.

Tears fill my eyes. I can't believe I forgot. Today is the anniversary of the day my Dad died. It's officially been a whole year without him.

Sal pulls me into another hug. I cry softly. "It's ok, sweetheart." He strokes my hair. I pull back an wipe my eyes. "Thanks....And I will." I put on a fake smile and head to the door. Tears roll down my cheeks.

I exit the dinner and walk to my car. Getting in, I try and turn it on, but I fail. "Are you fucking serious?!" I shout to the car.

I grunt and get out, grabbing my bag and keys. Tossing my keys into my bag, I toss my bag over my shoulders. I walk down the street. The sky is a dark dark color. The clouds rumble. I'm terrified of storms.
