i've told you this in person before, and i wish i could do it again and again every day because that's just how beautiful it is. and i don't think my delivery was exactly stellar, sadly. so i'll make up for it in a story you'll never read

the slim eyebrows
the green irises
the long fingers
the sturdiness of your fingers
the flow of your knuckles
the mile long length of your toes
the stretch of your arms
the sound of your laugh
the face you make when you get caught in the moment
the way you explain complex things
the words you use to describe your feelings
the way your hand fits in mine
the way your arms are too long for mine to compete with in hand holding
the broad shoulders
the big height that makes you perfect
the way my arms naturally go under yours in each hug
the converse you wear
the pouty face you make
the things that make you laugh every time

all of you
it fits
it's one big puzzle and it fits
each piece is essential to the others
every bit goes together, every bit was made to inhabit the same person
there's no other way

the you of it all
the symphony that you are,
the castle that you are,
the human that you are

even if you change, even if you toss one piece for another, i know it could morph right into place

you belong
all the parts of you work
the gears turn and operate just how they were made to

and it's so specifically you
it seems silly; to say that you are you
but you are you in the most harmonious way anyone could be themselves

and i love you
i love every jigsaw piece in your big-picture puzzle
i love every instrument in your orchestra
i love every hidden stairway in your castle
i love every word on your tongue and look in your eyes
and i love you
