Jermis let out a low growl. 'Why'd he call you S?'

I just bit my lip and aunk down a bit, becoming shorter then I was.

'I uh...don't know?'

David narrowed his eyes at me. 'Seriously?' He asked, looking up to Jermis. 'Never knew you were the good boy type.'

I blinked, suddenly aware about how much David changed. I bit my lip. He was right. I wasn't one to fall for good boys. Or anyone at that matter.

'Were not....a...thing.' I muttered awkwardly.

Jermis looked down to me with an raised eyebrow, but said nothing. The light suddenly returned to David's face.

'Oh your not?' Was that excitement?  Ha. I thought. Jermis glared at him.

'I was going to asked her if shed like to she a movie before you so rudely interrupted. '  A low groan fell from my throat.

'Listen boys, hate to leave this tea party, but I have places to be and people to see.' I shoved past them and kept walking, pushing my hands into my pockets as I did. Oddly, I was cold, which wasn't like.me. My eyes went wide as I stopped dead. Thump. Thump. Thump.

'No.'  I growled. 'It can't be...' I placed a hand on my chest, jumping as warm hit it with a loud  KA-BOOM.

I shakely took my hand away from my chest. 'What...is...that?!' I snapped.
