I walked into the classroom.
As I looked around the unfamiliar room, I started to hear snickers coming from students and even some gasps. I heard some voices commenting on my bust size. I blushed a little and tried to conceal my embarrassment. I walked right next to where the teacher stood. She gave me a warm smile. "Why don't you introduce yourself?" So I cleared my throat and raised my head.
"Sukiko Sakamoto. N-Nice to...meet you....."
I felt everyone's blue eyes on me. I began to feel my face warm up. "S-So, class, is there anything you'd like to say to welcome Sakamoto-san?" said the teacher. I told her she can call me Sukiko. Then a guy spoke up. "You think I can squeeze them?" The smirk on his face let me know he was referring to my breasts. "H-Huh?!" I felt my face get hot. This is so embassassing! Luckily, most of the class wasn't even looking at me anymore. The teacher gave him an extremely annoyed look, and his friends started to giggle. Then the class silence broke. "Go on and sit in that desk, over there." The teacher pointed at an empty desk in the corner of the room, right by a window. I quietly sat in my desk. I guess the city is a bit more lively, even at school.
During class, I observed my surroundings. This school is a bit bigger than my last one. I looked around the classroom. The students were studying, for the most part. I realized this when a girl next had her face pressed against her notebook, with drool spilling on her Japanese Literature books. She snored lightly.
I tried getting familiar with the faces. Sleepy girl next to me, and there was another girl next to her. Gasped a little bit. She was beautiful. She had long, beautiful black hair. She turned and looked at me, and to my surprise, she had red eyes. I noticed I had been staring and quickly looked away. Red eyes.I've never seen that before. Everyone is supposed to have blue eyes. Long ago, about three centuries ago, there were more eye colors. I had learned in my history class that brown, green, hazel, purple, and blue used to be eye colors. But there are no records or studies that say why everyone now has blue eyes. The girl turned her head towards me and caught me starting. I blushed and quickly looked away. Oops.
I looked outside. Below, there was the school track. I could see little humans running around the track surrounded by a fence. It reminded me of hamsters running around a cage, and a human observing them. If that was the case, who would represent the humans? Who's watching us? My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the bell, signaling it was the start of lunch. I watched as the humans gathered in their established friend groups, some pulling their desks together to eat.
Then I remembered I forgot to bring my bento.* Damn!
To my surprise, no one approached me to ask me where I came from.
Right after giving up, someone started walking toward me. I looked up. In front of me was sleepy girl, and now I could see she was average height, with brown hair tied to a side pony tail. She had a friendly smile, and had a gentle aura. "Hi!" I was a bit startled by her sudden approach. "Sukiko, right?" I nodded. "That's a strange name. I haven't heard it before.... What kanji* do you spell it with?" I wrote it on a paper. "Huh. That's so strange. I'm Emi, nice to meet you,." She bowed. Emi is a strange name if you ask me, I thought. "Do you have anyone to eat with?" I shook my head and remembered my lunch. "A-Actually I forgot my lunch at home...." She frowned. "Hee hee, me too. Come. I want you to meet my friends!" She grabbed my hand. Wait, what?
She practically dragged me through the hallway. The only reason I was able to keep up was thanks to the superhuman stamina most demons have. Then she stopped by a plain door. "They're in here, come in!" She opened the door. A.......computer lab?
