However as Damion's eyes sparkled, the gleam in them took away from the lady in the gorgeous red dress as she walked up right next to him on stage. He looked away from me and towards her, smiling. He bent down to plant a kiss right on her cheek, and the paparazzi just went crazy, taking more photos, asking more questions, and certainly, not for a second, taking their eyes off of the couple.
Kris turned to me, "That's the same persons house you took a "nap" at?"
I turned my head, taking my attention off him for a minute, "Yeah." I swallowed, a lump in my throat growing.
"Aww hell no." She stated.
"Kris, I think we should go get a drink."
"Girl, I am so sorry. You know if you need me to handle anything, I'll do it in a heartbeat."
"I know, just come on." I tugged on the sleeve of her dress.
I gave one last look at Damion and whoever that chick was, and walked away feeling more hurt than ever. Why in the world would I think I was different? Why would I think that I wasn't one of those millions of other girls that he would toy with on the side? I'm an idiot.
A straight up, no doubt about it idiot.
"Sabrina, talk to me. Tell me something, be angry, sad, anything."
I looked at her, "I need a drink."
"Okay, what do you want?"
"Whatever, I just need something."
After that point I think I tuned out the rest, I remember drinking something and saying a few words, but I was still out of it from seeing that girl, and even when I turned to look I saw her all over him, and he was laughing. Laughing, smiling and all that. I still for some reason couldn't believe it.
"SABRINA" Kris yelled while waving her hands in front of my face.
I shook my head, "Yes?"
"Good lord girl get it together, your world is not going to fall apart over some guy. Snap out of it. You've had yourself a drink, sat down, and now it's time to get back out there and enjoy yourself. Have a great time, S, we are at one of the biggest parties in the state! Come on! There's more to life then guys!"
I looked at her, and you know what, she's right. There is more to life then guys. I can't let a little one like this get me down.
"You're right. I'm sorry Kris, thank you for pulling me back." We stood up and gave eachother a hug, and returned to the dance floor.
Kris and I met these very handsome guys, and danced a long time with them, I got a tall dark haired one, and Kris got a little bit shorter blond, but the four of us were giggling the night away. Finally after about a half and hour of being on the floor, we all got tired and sat down in a booth.
"Wooh!" Kris exclaimed. "Now that. Was fun."
"I definitely agree." Blondie concurred.
"I don't ever remember dancing like that. I haven't gone that long since prom I think." I added. Which was true, it's been a while.
"Same here, it's been a long time for me too." Tall, dark, and handsome responded.
As we caught our breaths and ordered some mozzarella sticks and sodas (as to a surprise, we all weren't all fans of alcohol), we all spent some time talking about things, and getting to know each other. We both found out a lot about the guys and how similar each of our interest are. Before we knew it, the food and drinks were gone and we were all taking pics with each other, exchanging instagrams and snapchats. We learned that blondie's name was Cole and tall, dark, and handsome was named Nick. I traded phone numbers with Nick and Kris exchanged numbers with Cole. I could tell this was going to be the start of a beautiful friendship between the four of us.
Just as we were all laughing as Cole tried to snort pepper, Damion walked right by. Still carrying strawberry on his arm. He look directly at me and smirked, "Hello everyone, how are we enjoying the party?"
"It's good!" Kris, Cole, and Nick shouted over the music, while I gave a small smile, that wasn't very long in duration.
"Good! Have a good time!" He practically screamed, but his eyes weren't looking at anyone else but me. He didn't even look at Cole, Nick, or Kris. Just me. He stared a little while longer, before Strawberry spoke up and mentioned that her feet hurt and him to hurry up. Letting his gaze linger a little longer, his eyes changed from a stare to a glare at directed to Nick and he walked off with Strawberry clinging to his hip.
Letting out a breath I hadn't realised I was holding, Nick turned to me, "What was that all about?"
"What?" I questioned.
"That stare he gave you, and the glare he gave me while he was walking away."
"I honestly don't have an answer for you."
"Did you guys have a thing going on a some point."
"I barely know who he is."
"Okay."
I smiled at him and smiled back, trying to relieve some of the built up tension in the atmosphere.
"Well ladies, it's been fun," Cole spoke up. "But we really must be going."
Checking my phone I realised that was almost 3 in the morning. Good thing it was Saturday.
"Oh wow, the time flies. I didn't even realise that it was that late." Kris added.
"I know." I said. "Kris, we really should be going."
"Maybe we could all meet up again." Nick questioned and looked over at me with a quizzical expression.
"Yeah, definitely." I responded.
"I'm down." Cole said while looking at Kris who was already looking back at him.
"Same here." Kris said.
We all stood up, stretched and walked out of the building. It was so cold outside. I have never wished to have my face covered up by a ski mask more than I do now.
"We'll call you guys later." Cole breathed.
Kris and I nodded.
"See you guys later." Nick waved.
Just as I turned around, there stood Damion, posted up to a wall, trying to look all that. He pushed himself off the wall and came towards me. "Hey, you both look cold." He smirked. I gave him the dirtiest look I could manage. He snapped his fingers and his bodyguards came around with two long coats, a purple one for Kris and a red one for me. Opening the door to his fancy car, he gestured inside.
"Step inside ladies. Let me escort you home."
