A bugging noise of a man disturbed my slumber and eventually woke me up.
I tried shutting my eyes and get my doze back on, but the irritating sound won't stop.
Nananaginip pa naman sana ako, what the hell is this?
I finally opened my eyes and sighed deeply.
"Flight 613, Laguindingan-Manila has officially landed in NAIA Terminal 3, Gate 4 at 11:25 am. We hope that the trip was of your greatest convenience, Cebu Pacific always ensure our passengers' safety and comfortable accommodation, so that you will always leave and come back with a smile. This is your captain speaking and thank you for flying with us."
Oh. That was a voiceover. That was the captain. I forgot that I'm actually in an airplane, on a flight.
I let out a small laugh at my little stupidity.
Sorry! I was still half asleep, okay?
"Parang napasarap tulog mo miss ah?" This lady sitting beside me, probably the same age as mine, suppressed a laugh while asking.
I responded her laugh, napansin niya guro yung konting beast mode ko kanina. "Para nga..."
She just grinned as she started to busied herself with her carry-on bags since it's time for departure, and I eventually did the same as well as the other passengers.
...
I entered the airport's coffee shop, not bad really. This is my first time coming in here even though I already have countable visits in Manila, and this place is actually hip. The furniture, I love those wooden high chairs; the ambiance in general, you can already smell the sweet aroma of caffeine, really inviting; they have vinyls hanging on their walls, which immediately excites me; and I think the service is pleasing because the baristas already look accommodating with their grinning smiles. And I love coffee and artsy coffee shops, trust me.
"Good morning po Ma'am!" The security guard flashed me a smile as he assisted me with my luggage. "Sa'n po 'to Ma'am?"
"There lang po Manong, salamat." I pointed on the vacant spot near him, ayoko din namang mapagod si Manong dragging my luggage doon pa sa unahan, and besides, the round chair looks so inviting to me.
After dealing with Manong guard, pumunta na ako sa counter para umorder. I slide my Ray Bans over my bob as the barista is already flashing me with a smile.
"Good morning Ma'am, what will it be?"
"Good morning, um I'll have a frappucinno..." I paused as I scan as to which flavor is to my liking at the moment, as the barista is waiting patiently for me to decide.
Then my eyes saw something that escalates my excitement. Just what I was looking for.
"Matcha. That Matcha frappucinno." I smiled at the brunette barista.
"What size Ma'am?"
"Large. And I'll have a cookie please, yung chocolate chip. Thanks."
"Sure Ma'am. I'll repeat your order lang po ha? One large Matcha frappe and a chocolate chip cookie."
I nodded for confirmation.
"That will be PhP. 235 in all Ma'am." She smiled.
I actually crammed a 300 peso bill in my pocket so I immediately gave it to her. "Keep the change."
The barista smiled. "Thank you Ma'am, very generous of you."
I just smiled back at her.
"Oh Ma'am, I almost forgot... your name?"
