Don't cry wolf

•chapter 6•

Darkness surrounds me, a numbing feeling throughout my body, I try to open my eyes but after several failed attempts I give up trying.

"Rayna dear, we are going to have time with our daughter now, I've called your mother to pick you up. We will let you know when she wakes up. Don't worry she's just extremely exhausted that's why she's still sleeping"

"Ok call me when she's up
Mrs Belldare"

I hear a conversation going on between my mother and Rayna, I then hear the door close shut quietly, and my parents shuffling around what I assume to be my bedroom.

Hearing quiet mumbling, But not being able to quite make out what they are saying, as the conversation continues to get more and more heated between my parents I am able to make out a few words such as, "why?" "Why now!"
"Necklace" "stop her from changing"
"Wolf" "I can't believe that stupid witch" "What are we supposed to do"
"What if he finds her"

At their angered whispering I become severely confused, what the hell are they talking about?! Necklace? Witch? What the hell is going on. What do they mean by 'what if he finds her' that can't possibly mean the man from my dreams. What are they hiding?
I desperately try to open my eyes again, using all the energy I have left and after several moments of trying I'm greeted by a blinding white light.

As my eyes begin ever so slowly to my familiar surroundings I can make out my parents figures facing away from me. I let out a small cough out of a lack of water, so that my parents would hopefully notice my awakening. It works and I am able to see clearly now that my parents look like deer in headlights.

While my mother rushes of realising I must need some water, I'm left with my still dumfounded father.

"Oh hello Addison we didn't realise you'd woken up, You didn't hear anything right?" My dad says slightly apprehensively.

"Nah I didn't, I just woke up. How long have I been out?" I reply my voice sounding scratchy.

"Not long, almost a day. You just got extremely tired."

"Oh ok, I didn't imagine those guys right? Rayna told you?" I ask nervously hoping what I thought had happened hadn't happened.

"Uhhh I don't know honey, I think you were a bit delusional with what happened" my dad say hesitantly, a flash of guilt running across his features.

"Oh...." Just as I'm about to question him further my mother comes in with some food and water, I glance at my father who looks extremely relieved at my mothers arrival during my questioning. 

"Here you go dear, how about you have some food and water and maybe a shower? Then you can call Rayna back over if you'd like, she's been here all day waiting for you to wake up"

"Okay mum, thanks for the food"

"Okay bye darling, love you" my mother says "bye sweetie" my father says kissing me on the cheek.

As soon as they are both out the door I gulp down all my water the coolness of it soothing my scratchy throat, I reach for my phone almost falling out of bed and dialling Rayna's number.

"ADDISON YOU'RE ALVIVE IM COMING OVER RIGHT NOW"

I wince at the harsh yelling of Rayna's voice, moments later I hear the line go dead. Laughing I quickly get up and into the shower making sure to take clothes with me, not forgetting what happened last time with bates.
