Chapter One: DEATH

Death, Grim Reaper whatever you call him, he is the same soul sucking beast and heart wrenching monster. It was a beautiful night in the village the moon shone on the castle and the gates twinkle liked the stars, the houses were small and cosy and on a road there was a family the Roxes as they walked someone was following," it I can't believe we have food!" Lolly Rox said,"So much of it! We could probably have a carrot each!" They were poor and barely afford anything as Lily Rox, the mother, gazed at the castle she was turned around by her oldest child Lola Rox, Lola was pretty much perfect she cared for everyone had a beautiful and natural face as it gleamed in sunshine and moonlight she smiled even her cry was adorable. Lolly was the youngest out of the two children she was blind and had a stick thin figure she was kinder than necessary. She wouldn't let anyone be hurt she was very young and what happens to her should have she looked in her sister's eyes the verde hues calmed her, Lily Rox like her two daughters also had green and so did the father Lily had sun bright blonde hair unlike her family who had pitch black hair like Lolly, Lily was extremely kind and had short, straight hair with a fringe. The father Daniel Rox had wavy black hair the same as Lola (Only Lola had long hair to her waist) He was firm and stubborn he got his way. Lola had a shiver but she shrugged it off pretending it was nothing but it was the very thing that costed her parents' lives, "You know that we always have food. I know what you mean though it is a lot over 4 carrots!" Daniel said,"We all helped to get this." He looked at Lily as she smiled with her calming close of her eyes he felt better but that would change very soon,"I can say that Lola did the most work," Lily said, Lola blushed hair face went scarlet she tried to hide it with her midnight hair her shamrock green eyes twinkled as she said,"Not really I mean- MUM DAD!" She screamed with tears in her eyes as Death took her parents and with his eyes grinning killed them in an instant he was more evil than the devil himself! "LISTEN YOU RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN AND I MIGHT SPARE YOUR PATHETIC LIVES!" Death said scarily and fearsome. The girls did as he said they ran home leaving the food, Lolly dropped it when her parents were killed they didn't have time to pick it up and then run they just ran, when Lolly heard Lola screaming she knew something bad happened her mind guessed what happened and what it guessed was gruesome and true. Lola cried Lolly heard her and cried too Lola wiped up her tears and hugged Lolly trying to calm her and stop her tears she managed but only after hours. Lolly stared at Lola with her loss of sight which Lola saw, Lolly tried to imagine what she looked like but it was impossible to imagine a face like hers it's like trying to imagine what it's like to die. You would think black but there would be nothing no black because there is no you to see that black. Lola wondered what Lolly would think of people of she could see would she be shallow? Neither of them were thinking of things like that now they were trying to get over the fact their parents died,"Don't cry for in the end you will be were you want to." Lola whispered to Lolly, Lolly kept crying even though she heard her,"I can keep crying, crying is laughing when you are upset," Lolly told Lola, Lola looked at Lolly her younger sister told her that advice which stuck with Lola for as long as it could, Neither of them were thinking of things like that now they were trying to get over the fact their parents died,"Don't cry for in the end you will be were you want to." Lola whispered to Lolly, Lolly kept crying even though she heard her,"I can keep crying, crying is laughing when you are upset," Lolly told Lola, Lola looked at Lolly her younger sister told her that advice which stuck with Lola for as long as it could, Lola rested her head tried not to think about what she saw it was awful; Death held the scythe to her parents' necks and forced them to cut each other's wrists and they did so Lola could see the blood trickling down and as they hoped it was over Death was 'kind' and finished it quickly for them by cutting their heads off with his venomous silver scythe Lily screamed for mercy while Daniel excepted fate Lola couldn't look away if she tried, the heads landed on the ground with Daniel's final words as "Live on." Lola could see blood everywhere and hair parents' bodies being burnt to ashes. That was what replayed in her head even all the screaming and fear lived on. The midnight moon was a chiffon white colour and the grass was juniper green but compared to the ebony sky it was chartreuse green you could barely look up without seeing pitch everywhere the castle turned an appalling charcoal black while moss climbed it's way up, the cottages never more looked cute and cosy but terrifying and spacious. Light had found a way to escape everything even Lola, her eyes no longer glittered nor shone in the sun or moon her laugh was now a rare thing to hear and most of the time she was upset and wanted to leave the kingdom where her admirers were so she could escape the madness that trapped her in her own tears were she slowly was drowning. Lolly however tackled the situation head on she still had family and life what Lola said 'Don't cry for in the end you will be were you want to' Lolly lived up to that tears and laughter are memories worth sharing but not mourning. Lolly heard what her father said he said 'Live on' and she was doing just that building a bridge and getting over it, Lola built a bridge and tried to figure out an easier route across, Lolly knew Lola's struggles and how she could help but the best way to help was to let Lola figure it out herself if something like this happens again and Lolly isn't there then what will happen? Lolly needed to see if Lola could do this herself. Lola hated the fact she couldn't get over something she was the oldest she had to do this. Lola closed her head down and dreamed, she dreamed a better world where no one killed and everyone lived peacefully but deep down she knew something as perfect as that could never happen! She wished she didn't have to except it but that was how the cruel world is. She fell asleep slowly when her eyes closed she stopped hearing the screams and seeing the murder just green fields of flowers and beautiful trees with blossoms all over, the sky was a coral blue and the sun shine brighter than ever but a day like that was too good for it being real...
