"Hey Riley, you gotta get up now, we have school"
"Farkle, I'm not going to school" I responded
"Why not? Is something wrong?" He asked. Aw, Farkle's so cute. He's always so concerned with how I feel.
"No, I'm fine, just tired" I assured him, although I was lying. Charlie trying to kiss me freaked me out a bit. I'd rather just stay home and write letters to Lucas, I miss him so much.
"Then get up Riley! We're going to be late" Farkle yells. I don't budge. In response to this Farkle grabs my arm and begins to pull me out of bed. I feel myself falling but I think is better to just go with it.
Ow
Now I'm on the floor.
"Okay fine Riley, if you really want, we can stay home today and watch movie and paint rainbows or something" Farkle says, clearly defeated.
"Yayy, I love you Farkle". He helps me up off the floor and we hop into my bed and turn the tv on, hopefully this time in a bed with a boy will turn out better than the last.
Lucas
School. Today I start school. I'm not too nervous because I already know a lot of people here. What I am nervous about is Riley. I think she should've gotten my letter because I did the overnight shipping thing, and I guess her letter probably hasn't been delivered yet, but I'm still worried. I know I asked a lot of questions, but maybe I shouldn't have if I'm scared to hear the answer. I love Riley more than anything and I always will. Next year we graduate and maybe I can get a place in the city, we can both go to NYU or something like that. We can live together and make coffee in the mornings and study together and do whatever couples do. I know I'm thinking ahead a lot but Riley really is the girl for me.
"Lucas, the bus is here!" My mom calls from downstairs. I run down and kiss her goodbye.
"Have a good day Mama, I love you" I say before walking out the door and onto the bus. I spot a seat across from Maya and plant myself their.
"You ready for school ranger Rick?"
I hope so.
