Over the years Holly and Brantley had the perfect life? A year after Eli Robert was born they married and went to Paris for there honeymoon. Brantley still works on his farm and him and his brother in law bought a shed to start there own business. Holly left her job at the bank to become a stay at home mom for there 3 kids. Riker Christopher, Dixie Grace and Eli Robert. When Eli was born Holly saw Jake watching over her until Eli was born. Just like his big sister and big brother he will also know who Jake is.

Colin did found another boyfriend. His name is John and they began to date 3 years after Colin moved down to Alabama. They met when Jake moved down to Alabama to work in his own shed. Colin and John have been married for 19 years now, but Jake is always watching out for Colin, and the whole Gilbert family.

As Dixie got older Brantley had to watch out for his little girl. She grow up fast, especially with the boys around here. But all Dixie ever dreamed of was become a nurse to help people. So boys was never on her mind. That was something she got from her mother, Holly. That doesn't help matter for his little girl. He still kept the gun loaded at all times, when she would go out.

Now with Riker was a little different. He loved chasing woman. By the time Riker was 10 Brantley had to have the man to man talk with him. And Brantley had to watch him every closely over the years. By the time Riker was a freshman he was no longer a virgin at all. He went through the girls like his father did when he was younger.

Holly and Brantley loved watching their children grow and become there own different people. Dixie did become a nurse down at the old home. Riker went into the army and has been gone since he was 18 years old. He still comes back home from time to time, but he is now doing his own thing?

Eli was the only son that loved working on the farm as much a Brantley did. He never wanted to leave this farm. As he was growing up he would always say this is a 'Patch of Heaven'. In some way Brantley knew that Eli would be the on to take over the farm when the time come.

When Brantley and Holly wed he promised her she would never want for nothing else in this world. That was one promise Brantley kept to his beloved wife. But at the same time Holly was grounded to the little things in life? All she wanted was for her family to be happy, heathy, safe and know that love beats everything else. That is what she taught her children.

You would see that there was a lot of great times for the Gilbert family, but that ain't it? There was a lot of bad times that hit the family as well. When Tessa got cancer, she moved in with Brantley and Holly, but seeing the sad faces on her grandkids she couldn't take no more. That night when she herd her grandbabies crying she asked the good lord to take her home, to be with her one true love. That night when Tessa died, Brantley and Holly heard Tessa calling for Ray. They knew she wouldn't make it through the night. At 5 in the morning Tessa passed away in her sleep. Tessa was 79 years old. She is buried next to Ray, Holly's father in Milford, Georgia. Holly knew her mother would be better off with her father and now looking back through the years she knows that true.  

As the kids moved out of the house, Brantley and Holly built a smaller house just for the two of them. They only used the big house when Christmas and Thanksgiving was here. Every year where ever the kids was at Brantley and Holly knew that Thanksgiving and Christmas was here, they knew there children and there children would come home for the season.
