The Time Warrior

Ch. 1 The Sword in the Anvil

Quick author's note before the story to let you all know unless someone is speaking, italics are warriors thoughts and if in his thoughts not italicised it would be regularly this is just so people are not confused by the random italics.

I am the last protector of the universe My name? well that is for me to know and for you to find out. It is secret like my father's he's called The Doctor he's kind of famous he traveled through time and space ,unfortunately his T.A.R.D.I.S. was blown up from the inside on his fourth to last regeneration of his second cycle and so I can't use it. But he told me that it was in my blood to time travel and explore but not to interfere but he did anyway and i should too because, "nothing is better than saving a planet even if you have to lose a regeneration". Now me personally i've never had to regenerate even though im only 15 my dad's 5,016 on his second to last regeneration.

Me: "So dad I have been looking through old gallifreyan books and I think I found something The Time Sword."

Dad: "Yes my son that will allow you to time travel as I once did. the only problem is that it's in gallifrey's most secure Amory and is only open to the public on one day a year for everyone to try."

Me: "Try?" "Try what the sword?"

Dad: "Yes like the child's tale on earth called the sword in the stone we have a time sword in an anvil."

Me: "Why is it in an anvil and when is it open?"

Dad: "Well you see it was originally supposed to be a "portable" T.A.R.D.I.S. but the universe had other ideas and gave the sword properties of a tardis but it could only be wielded by someone with an aura (or mana whichever) strength of over 750. So its own forger could not wield it for long and so while he had time he thrust it into a anvil because there is nothing that the sword can't cut and it's open (after checking watch) today in a few minutes.

I stand up and get my black trench coat and a long sword sheath because i'm optimistic you know?

Me: I'll be back soon ok dad!? Just as i'm about to reach the door....

Dad: "hold it" he said as he raises his hand. "Take my sonic screwdriver you never know when you might need it."

Me: Thanks dad i love you tell mom i love her too!

Dad: Will do!

After I left I went to gallifrey's biggest "and most secure mind you" what a lame slogan amory and there was no line outside for the sword and when I told the what I was here for guards they just laughed and said "go ahead kid no one has been able to pull out that sword for 500,000,000 years and you need a large aura (or mana pool) to even lift it it."

When I got into the Armory there was lots of swords on the walls but in one corner there was an anvil with a sword in it looked braided and on some of the sides it was space and the other looked like time there was a line but i was certain that it would be worth the wait.

after a little bit it was my turn and i could have sworn that i heard someone call my name though it was faint. there were guards ready to take whomever could pull the sword out of the anvil though no one had pulled it out yet.

then it was my turn the guards let me in and closed the gates on me so if I pulled it out I couldn't run away. when I got to the anvil the blade started to glow like it did for everybody yet it seemed to glow brighter looking back on it. then I grabbed the hilt and with a loud gong sound I pulled the sword from the anvil.

gard 1: who are you?

me: I'm the time warrior and i'm the next defender of the universe like my father before me!

hello everybody thank you so much for reading this chapter and starting the book. Sorry it was a small start but next time i'll try to make it longer and have a little more info you don't need to know everything about Warrior just yet but all will come around eventually.
