chapter3
"don't give up, the beginning is always the hardest" - anonymous
I walk back to my so called room and look to see what is there. Flowers, balloons, and stuffed animals everywhere. I look over in the corner and I see a tiny little present that's wrapped, has cob webs and little specks of dust. Have I been here for this long? I feel fine. I look up on the bed to see a body laying there. Bruises everywhere, almost every part of the body wrapped up. I walk towards her to realize it's me. Then the doctor walked in with my brother.
"She has a fractured leg, brain damage, broken arm, and a broke nose. The worst thing her being in a coma, but no need to state the obvious."
"How long has she been like this?"
"Four months."
"Why am I just now hearing about this?"
"That you should ask you family, sir."
My brother has always been good to me. He takes care if me when I am sick, he has defended me even when I'm wrong, and he's even beat up a couple of guys for breaking my heart. His name his Aiden. He is 19 years old and has a fiance named Rebecca. I am supposed to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in 2 and a half weeks, but who knows when I'll wake up. Well I kind of already am awake, but know one knows it.
It's not just me and my brother in this family. I have 10 kids in my family. There is Courtney, Delanie, Marley, Kiria, Me, Gavin, Shawn, Adam, Ethan, and Aiden. Courtney, Delanie, and Marley are all 9 years old, Kiria is 13, I am 16 same as Gavin, Shawn is 17, Ethan and Aiden are both 19.
"This is ridiculous."
I wanted to tell Aiden I am okay, but I can't. I can only sit and wait to wake up. If I even do that.
