I sit on my bed thinking over what happened today. Cinder was acting jumpy. I was just joking I hope he doesn't think that I think he's a criminal! How weird would that be.
I walk down the stairs and grab the mail. Bills,bills, bills, newspaper- what's this?. I open up a letter with no writing on the outside. I pull out a thin piece of paper. On the top it says "crime academy". Where have I heard that name before? CINDER!
I skim through the letter till the bottom" congratulations your life will never be the same". Blunt aren't we? I roll my eyes. Maybe I shouldn't skim through it. I go back to the top of the sheet.
It explains how I have been chosen to go to a prestigious academy! But the weirdness doesn't end there. This is apparently top secret information and I can't tell anyone except my parent or guardian. It doesn't give me a return address. The letter is somehow strait forward and illusive at the same time. It doesn't look like a scam but it has to be. How can I be chosen to go to an academy I didn't sign up for?
