Cassie's P.O.V
When Saturday finally rolled around, I was so happy I could hardly contain my excitement. When I told my dad about the date. He and the bottle of whiskey he was cradling both agreed that I wasn't going. He said that there was no way on earth that I was going anywhere. And he was going to make me remember that. He took his belt, folded it and ran at me screaming like a mad man. I locked myself in my room which was my only escape from the horrors of my parents. ( As you have already realized, my dad is an abusive alcoholic. And my mom is a disciplinary teacher at a private school downtown. And by disciplinary I mean it is like a holocaust solider moved to Seattle).
As I sobbed in my room, I came up with an idea to still go out without letting them know I was gone. I texted Dylan that I wouldn't be coming out the front door and not to knock on the door whatsoever. The only reply I got was an 'OK' and based on my boy knowledge meant he would follow me to the ends of the earth without question😊!
I knew that I should put something on that was nice and casual at the same time.I put on a nice t-shirt and shorts and threw a blazer and pencil skirt in my bag in case we went to the Italian place downtown.
Dylan's P.O.V
Cassie sent me some weird text not to open the door and she wouldn't be coming out through the front door either. I just texted okay because I wasn't really sure what that meant. I'm taking her to my favorite restaurant best pizza and grinders. I hope she isn't wearing anything like we were going to go to Red Lobster or something. I'm so excited to take her on this date. At least that's what she thinks it is. And I'd everything goes as planned, she will be my vampire love forever.
