"Hello?"I greeted the unknown number.
"Hi Sammie it's me, Will" I now knew the voice speaking boldly in my left ear.
"Listen, I'm sorry that I didn't finish in time. I got caught up-" My voice sounded groggy. That's the voice of a tearing girl ladies and gents.
"It's okay, what happened to your voice?" Will asked with concern in his voice. That's a first for him. Hmm, perhaps he's not so bad afterall I thought.
" Nothing , I drank some juice and it went down the wrong pipe" I lied.
Will was quiet for a few moments. Quite odd. As if he was assessing my response.
"Oh, well I just called to tell you to bring along the grocery list on the fridge".
I swear this guy is bipolar. For a brief moment I thought he owned a concerned bone in that kinda beautiful body of his.
What? He has a cute resemblance.
"Uh yeah, sure thing" I desperately tried to sound human again.
"Then I shall be waiting on you to grace me with your presence"Then the line clicked dead.
With the roll of eyes I locked the house. And stood a few minutes on the front porch. I looked down at their garden, it was beautiful.
Just like I once upon a time were.
I shooked myself to the present. A tingling drop rolled down my left cheek. Damn Im such a cry baby.
As I was walking in mission to catch a taxi, my phone beeped.
Yo my girl
There was only one person that ever greeted me like that....Bennett. Also known as The Beast. Not because the guy is big or anything, it's simply because(besides his big ego). He is a great guy. Like the guy who helps where ever he can. And did I mention that , that guy has got the moves like jagger. So yeah we've known each other for quite some years.
Oh yeah, I think I missed the most important detail. We dated. So yeah we have that history. But the great thing is that we still remained good friends. That's just how great he is. Got that mature vibe going on. And I am a sucker for that yo.
"Hey, what's up"I texted back as I got out of the taxi, heading to the supermarket. From where Will was impatiently tapping his right foot.
As if I give a damn.
Here's the list, Einstein. I sticked it on his chest. He grabbed my hand. Which landed on his heart. His heartbeat had a beautiful rhythm. It steadily rised and fell. I have never had an encounter like that, and I LOVE weird stuff.
Such as this.
I looked up in awe into his deep brown eyes. Just to find his what-are-you-doing-face.
I snapped and pulled my hand away roughly.
"We should go, time is precious" I mocked him, then took off.
Whether he came or not, I couldn't give an ounce of worry.
Just then, my phone beeped again.
Just watching some anime, the best I shall say dear :-)
My grin grew wide. I probably looked like retarded woman. But hey, what girl does not melt when a guy calls you dear. If not, I guess you are just a unique being I guess.
As I texted him back I put my phone away . As Will and I got all that we needed, we headed to the car. In silence we rode back home. I just texted away as Will stared into the far. Sometimes he looks very lost. Like a man searching for something he desires, but never seems to get it. Then again , I do not want to creep on the guy. Ecspecially not invading his mind, that shiz is dangerous. Like No-Go Zone.
As I found Will locked up in his own world, like totally zoned out. I went into my own one. I looked at the flashes of people, houses, running kids passing by as Will sped by. It reminded me of how fast life is. The one moment you're 10 and then the nexf moment you're 20, having the world at your feet. Where responsibility lies tucked underneath.
As I texted away, we finally got the place I now temporarily call "home". Cue the sarcasm there.
"Turn up your window woman" Will spoke up for the first time, since our ride back to his house. And is it only me, or is this guy hella demanding?!
"Yes sir, I will do so. Any further requests?" I teased.
"Oh yes dear, your bra is showing, I like the colour" He said motionless and walked away. I immediatly looked down , only to find that it is was not the case. "Jerk!" I yelled. "I made you look didn't I?" Will smirked. A full smile plastered onto that sneaky face of his. Then he disappeared into the house. Leaving me to unpack the groceries. Boys.
