*Libby's P.O.V*

"I can't believe Mr. Harding is expecting me to work with McKelty!" I complained to Hank, Frankie and Ashley at break, "I mean, what have I ever done to him!? Why did he feel the need to punish me so bad by pairing me with that stuck up idiot?!"

"Talking about me, I'm guessing?" An obnoxious voice appeared. I turned around to see Nick.

"What do you want, McKelty?" I scowled.

"Trust me, I don't want to work with you anymore than you want to work with me. But I do want to get a good mark on this assignment, so be at the library tonight. 5:30." He ordered.

"Hey, don't talk to Libby like that. She's not a dog, you can't just give her a command and expect her to follow." Hank snapped. I smiled at Hank. I can always count on him to stand up for me.

"Whatever, no one was asking you, Zitzer." McKelty sneered.

"Don't talk to Hank that way either, you snooty little-"

"Calm down, Libs." Ashley muttered.

"Fine, I'll meet you in the library, but don't expect me to be a ray of sunshine, and don't have a go at me if I'm not right on time. Now get lost." I glared at McKelty, who rolled his eyes and flounced off.

"How am I supposed to work with that for a whole week?" I groaned, banging my head against the nearest set of lockers.

"We'll help you through it." Hank said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"We will?" Frankie raised an eyebrow at Hank.

"Yeah, starting tonight. We'll come with you to the library." He told me.

"Really? You're willing to spend who knows how long at the library for me?" I looked at Hank in surprise. He hates the library.

"Course." Hank smiled. I found myself blushing, but luckily no one seemed to notice.

"Uh, I'm not!" Frankie protested, "I do not want to spend my evening with McKelty!"

"Yeah, and we have to do our own assignments as well." Ashley chimed in.

"Fine, but I'll be there for you." Hank decided.

"Thanks, Hanky." I giggled, leaning into him as he still had his arm around me.

"Don't call me Hanky. I'm not a snot rag." Hank frowned. I just laughed as we walked down the hall.

School finished at 3:30 as it did everyday, meaning I had approximately two hours before I had to be at the library. Hank and I took the bus home and got changed out of our school uniforms. I changed into a black tank top with a watermelon on the front and writing that said 'Why Not?', a regular pair of jeans and white Converse. I also slipped on a red flannel and rolled up the sleeves, slipped on some bracelets and put in my American flag earrings. I took my hair out of the ponytail it was in and let my curls fall around my face.
