Chapter 5
The week passed and I hadn't done much but met with friends, slept, watched tv and practised a few times with Alex.
"What are you doing to your hair?" Lexi asks me as I sit down on her bed to begin getting ready for the party we'd been waiting for all week.
"Might just straighten it to be honest." I sigh undecided.
"I thought that too, what are you wearing?" She asks.
"A simple black dress" I laugh taking it out of my bag and laying it on her bed next to me.
"I'm gonna wear a skirt and some top, what about makeup?" She asks me looking panicked.
"Just my usual going out makeup I guess" I laugh at her panicked state, she always stresses before party's and events whilst I just chill out compared to her.
"You're so much better at makeup than me though, your face always looks model worthy and mine doesn't" she roles her eyes looking at my big makeup bag which was lying on her floor. She wasn't wrong about my passion for makeup. I spend ages doing it when I have an excuse such as a party.
"Right stick music on and get ready." I laugh at her. She follows my lead as we both begin to do our hair and makeup whilst dancing around to the music we were listening to and basically acting like we were in a music video. After about an hour there's a knock on her door which we luckily hear thorough our loud music and laughing. With a face half full of makeup, Lexi walks towards the door slowly.
"It's only Jake" she rolls her eyes at the fact that she wasn't ready yet."Hey" he says walking into the house. "How aren't you both ready yet? You said to come by at seven and you'd be ready to drink and have fun before leaving" this time, both of them roll their eyes as we all walk back to lexis bedroom.
"Beauty is pain, in this case your pain as you wait for us." I smile sitting down where I was before and finishing off my makeup by applying a highlight and lipstick.
"You're not even dressed yet." He laughs.
"Look I've done all this in about an hour. Okay hush and be proud." I admire myself to check my makeup and hair was okay and then head to the bathroom to change. As I do I sigh looking at my stomach in my dress. It's a plain black tight dress which hugs my body, Lexi would look better in it but it's tough this is all I have. It's not that my body is big in any way, but when your best friend is perfect, with a flat stomach and great everything you can't help but make comparisons.
"My god you look good! If none of the hot guys want you tonight then they're dumb" Lexi shouts as I enter the room, her smile genuine.
"Have you seen yourself? Watch out Jake, they'll be after her." I smile sitting down admiring her perfect body in her perfect outfit with her perfect relationship.
"Can we have a drink now?" Jake ignores our comments and heads downstairs to grab whatever alcohol he had brought with him. His brother always buys him whatever he wants whenever he wants. Mine does too, but he isn't as happy about it all the time. He gets concerned.
"Tequila tequila!" I chant. Taking the bottle from Peyton and unscrewing the cap, pouring out three shots into the shot glasses and taking the salt and lime that was also brought in by Jake.
" three, two, one" I smile as we all lick the salt from the backs of our hands, pouring the liquid down our throats and then following it with lime.
"I'll stick to vodka and cola." Lexi laughs as she makes herself a drink.
"Nah I'll have a bit of everything." I smirk eyeing up the bottles and cups.
After an hour of drinking and laughing we decide we should head out, since we were walking to the party we wouldn't be there until atleast half past 8 and people should already be there now. We decide that it was a good plan. Grabbing the bottles and shoving them into jakes back pack so we have extra drink when we get there, we head out.
