Chapter 1: Made It

Finally arriving to Seoul, South Korea, you look around, breathing in the Seoul air. You sighed as you thought about the tryouts and how nerve racking it was for you.

Y/N: It's over now, I officially made it as a Starship trainee.

You called a taxi and went to the Starship Ent. building. Although you weren't fully fluent in the language of Korean, you still knew how to speak and comprehend it. Having one full Korean parent who only spoke Korean helped, but you and your family moved around to different places including the Korea, Colombia, the USA, and Australia. Moving around forced you to learn English, Spanish, and Korean. But now you're back in South Korea leaving your family back in the USA to pursue your dreams. Your taxi finally arrived to the building and you began feeling all sorts of nervousness. You payed the fee and exited out, walking towards the building entrance. Someone was there to greet you and explain things to you like your schedule and other relevant things. You were taken to a building a couple of miles away from the Starship building. The building you were taken to building known as the trainee dormitory. Upon entering the building, you saw usable but kind of worn out furniture, but you couldn't complain. After explaining a couple more things, the person left you. You set down your bags and walked around. A girl came out of one of the rooms and walked towards you.

Girl: Uh, hi, I'm Kim Min Jee. -she bows- I go by Minjee

Y/N: Hello -bows back- I'm the new trainee, Chae Y/N.

Minjee: Welcome to the girls dorm, as you can see it isn't so grand but it's home for now. If we debut and become successful we can move out of this place into something better. There's a free bunk in my room if you want to have it.

Y/N : That'll be great, thank you.

She helps you grab your bags. You followed her into a small room with a set of bunk bed and very limited space.

Minjee: Sorry, the room is kind of messy because I've been busy and never got chance to clean. You can have the top bunk. Let me clean a bit.

She began picking up stuff and cleaning around the room as you set your belongings on your bed and on the ground.

Minjee: This dormitory has four rooms, some with two sets of bunk beds and some with only one set of bunk beds. It gets really crowded in here sometimes but it's something you get used to though. Including you, there are currently ten trainees, you'll get to meet them later. So tell me about yourself.

Y/N: Uhh, I am currently 17, my birth date is September 2, 1998. I was born within the States. I moved around a couple times which resulted in me learning three languages, Korean, English, and Spanish. My family lives within the States. I decided to try out for the Entertainment industry so I left.

Minjee: I'm currently 17 as well. My birth date is May 26, 1999. That is so cool, you must know a lot.

Y/N: -you chuckle softly- Not really. Why did you decide to join Starship?

Minjee: Well, my mom was a vocal teacher and taught at a school. She taught me many things and there I grew a love for singing. I wanted to become a singer, but my parents weren't on board with my dreams. I eventually convinced them enough to let me join. I actually tried a couple of industries before but I was rejected until Starship accepted me. What about you?

Y/N: When I was younger I sang a lot, and reaching the age of 13 I discovered rapping. I fell in love with singing and rapping. I figured I wanted to pursue a career in rapping and singing but my parents were really iffy about my career decision. My cousin debuted recently from this same place. So I decided to try out for Starship and with my mom's consent. My dad is probably mad right now, but I did what I wanted to do, now I just have to prove him I can become successful.

Minjee: -she nods- Who is your cousin?

Y/N: He's Hyungwon from the group, Monsta X.

Minjee: No way! The Hyungwon?

Y/N: -you chuckle softly- Yeah him.

Minjee: Monsta X is one of my favorite groups.

Y/N: Mine too.

Minjee: My bias is your cousin. What is yours?

Y/N: I really haven't thought of a bias, honestly.

Minjee: Well, which one do you think would be your bias?

Y/N: Hmm, I guess I would say Jooheon?

Minjee: Interesting, you go for the tough, but can do ageyo very well type of guys, huh?

Y/N: -you laughs- I guess.

The day ended with you getting to know the other female trainees.
