Wanting to be outside before the storm hit you decided a walk was in order and began to drown out the loud, obnoxious world around you with your headphones. The normal hustle and bustle of the city moved about you in what seemed to be fast forward as you slipped into your thoughts losing track of where you were or where you were walking. Not paying attention would be detrimental for your health with all of the gang activity going on in your fair city as of late you should be more alert and aware of your surroundings yet you weren't. Somehow you weren't afraid. Well you were afraid but you weren't about to let those ass hats be a reason not to live your life. Nodding your head to the beat of the music you glanced down at your phone to change the song as you turned a corner and ran right into what you thought was a wall.
Groaning you ended up yanking your headphones off as you flailed your arms to try and keep yourself from falling due to the force you hit the wall. Which wasn't really a wall. Looking up at what you had hit you tensed seeing a man. Or what you thought was a man; you couldn't really tell due to what they were wearing. Standing about six and a half feet at least was someone, someone large, in a beige trench coat, a light brown hat, a checkerboard scarf and to top it all off bright yellow sunglasses. Why were they bright yellow? Why was that the thing that got you about this? Great you probably looked like an idiot just standing there looking up at them like they were some kind of freak. "U-uh sorry." you said once you reminded yourself you were the one who needed to apologies since you bumped into them.
"No problem." A gruff male voice replied settling the argument you were mentally having with yourself about their gender, "You alright?"
"Yea I'm...I'm alright no worries. You?" Oh please you probably didn't even nudge him when you bumped into him no way was he hurt he was built like a tank! Your heart skipped a beat at the chuckle you got as a response. Well...at least he wasn't angry.
"Trust me babe it takes a lot more than that to hurt me." He called over his shoulder as he continued to walk.
Babe? Babe!? Just who did he think he was!? Turning to snap at him you were taken aback when you found normal people. No giant in a trench coat. No sign he even existed in the first place. Looking about you shoved your phone into your pocket before begging to job trying to catch up to this man; you had some choice words for him. But nothing came of your search. Nothing what so ever. Had you made it up? No way your nose still hurt from colliding with Mr.Tank. Growling you stomped your foot once you had stopped after looking for him a total of five minutes. People didn't just disappear! Oh to hell with it! No way were you going to find him and it was starting to rain so you decided to make your way back home.
Just your luck how ever that you began to get soaked as the rain poured down on the city. Why hadn't you brought an umbrella just incase?! Huffing as you crossed your arms you picked up your speed wanting to get home before you got so soaked. Yet you stopped. Glancing up at the thing you had seen from the corner of your eye you noticed that guy in the trench coat was on top of your apartment building. What was he doing? Narrowing your eyes as your anger reminded you of those words you made your way to the roof to confront him not at all thinking about the fact this is a bad idea.
Getting up to the roof you closed the stairwell door behind you, because you weren't about to walk up the fire escape stairs in the rain, you looked about trying to find him. Blinking as you noticed the clothing discarded on the roof. Why would he take it off in the rain? Looking about you froze seeing what you thought was a human but now realized you were wrong. Dead wrong. Blinking a few times you recognized what you were loping at was a shell. From what you saw it was a...turtle? Yea because six and a half foot talking turtles with three fingers and what looked like sai being held in a belt that was over some clothing. Had...had you lost your mind? Was some weird scientific phenomena that only happened in very specific circumstances happening that caused you to hallucinate? What was life right now!?
"It's happened...i've finally lost my mind." You said more to yourself. Watching at the turtle tensed and slowly turned to fave you you weren't scared as you should be. This was all in your head right? No way was this actually happening!
"Dammit..."he grumbled.
"Oh look it talks to." you noted out loud.
"It?" he hissed clearly not pleased by the term used to describe him.
"Well what am I suppose to call you?" You pointed out with a laugh.
Damn...how was he suppose to respond to that he wasn't suppose to even be seen! Growling he shook his head; oh if Leo found out he'd have a field day. Looking at you he had a few options. Knock you out so you'd think you had been dreaming. Scare you into silence. Make it seem you had hallucinated. Run. Running wasn't his thing so that was out. Convincing you he wasn't real was also out...he wasn't smart like Donnie or as goofy as Mikey. So that only left violence as the answer. But which one? Catching your gaze he knew he didn't have much time left to think of what he should do sense your eyes were wide and it was clear you were getting scared. Great...now you realized this was real!
This was real...this was happening! Stumbling back you tried to think rationally but nothing would work. Nothing other than your brain telling you to get the hell out of dodge came to mind as you stood trying to decide which way to go. You couldn't jump off you'd die. Latter might take to long...it might catch you. Did it want to? Well you had made it mad so...
Just as you were about to turn tail and run he had one of your arms in an iron grip. When did he even move!? You were looking right at him and only looked away to glance at the only logical escape route! "L-look I-I..." You stuttered trying to get out of his hold but knew it wouldn't work anyway.
"No you look." he growled low hoping this would get you to never bring this up again, "You tell anyone you saw me, anyone at all I don't care if it's some kid, i'll find you."
As much as you would've loved to snap at him as you hit the ground after a shove you were to scared to do anything but run. You just left. Once back on the ground you bolted down the street hoping it wasn't following you because as of right now that's all you could do.
