My summers were always lonely. Everyone was always so excited for school to be out, but the truth is, I liked winter more. Sure, I hated school, I mean who doesn't? But when I went to school I would see my friends and I got to study with them. I adore my parents, but they're always busy, and my mother never can get me together with anyone.
I sighed as I stepped out of the school building. The last day had ended, and I was in for a long summer.
"We'll have to get together a lot!" My best friend Taylor said.
"Of course," I anwered.
I gave Taylor a pretty long hug; I didn't let go till I knew I could hold back my tears.
"I know you don't have a lot of fun during the summer, but I'm going to have you over as much as I can!" She insisted.
"Thank you," I smiled.
"Chloe!" My new friend Annie called for me as she ran up and have me a big hug.
"I'll miss you, Annie," I told her. We hadn't met that long ago but had become fast friends.
"I'll miss you too!" She told me.
Just then I heard a familiar car honk. I looked over to see my mother, motioning me to get into the car.
"I have to go," I said, giving Annie and Taylor a hug.
