A Pirate's Love

by Abbiejoygail

Chapter 1

Daniella Rosie Richardson walked around on the ship's deck awaiting her Father's return from the captain's cabin. She dislikes that her Father made her leave the cabin and Mother when it is storming outside and Mother is so ill with consumption. She pulls her cloak closer to her body as the wind picks up speed and she grabs hold of a rope to steady herself. She dislikes how the crew stares at her like they have never seen a female under the age of twenty before. She is only seventeen.

"Daniella Rosie Richardson, get in here," her Father yells through the door.

Daniella starts to the door and hesitates for her Father's voice makes her stomach cause those butterflies Mother always talks about to flutter giving her a sense of foreboding.

            Daniella enters the room.

The captain chuckles and says, "Frederick, I am loving your plan altogether too much. Mister Charles Wyse will never know what hits him when a ransom demand comes back for his granddaughter Daniella he did not know he had."

"Father, what is going on," Daniella cries out.

"Lemuel, see I told you they will love her for she acts so rich and they will not even know that she is not rich," Frederick says cleverly.

"Father," Daniella says and glares at him.

Frederick chuckles and says, "You, Daniella, are the ticket we need. They pirates are going to be sending a representative to our ship in the morning for payment to pass through their waters. We cannot part with any of our dear cargo, my precious. Mr. Wyse will receive a ransom notice for his daughter or granddaughter Daniella Rosie from the pirates when we tell them you are the only thing of value that we have on board."

"Father, you are despicable and do not deserve the title," Daniella cries out and spits on the floor at his feet.

Frederick says, "She has the spirit. She should survive but she will have to be given to a chattel when she is returned for she will not be good for anything then."

Daniella turns to flee the room to jump overboard when a knock on the captain's door stops them.

Captain calls out, "Who is it?"

"Captain, Sir, the pirate representative is earlier," the sailor calls.

Captain smiles evilly and says, "Send him in."

The door opens and Daniella is frozen on the spot.

A man with blonde hair that is shoulder length comes into the room. He has black pants on with a scarlet sash around his waist. He does not have a shirt on. He is armed to the teeth. He has two pistols in the sash but you can see the butts of the pistols. He has two swords, one on each side. He has two daggers sticking up from out of the top of his boots. He has a derringer on a chain around his neck. He also has a locket about his neck. He has a scar on the right cheek. He has a quiver on his back with a few arrows and a bow connected to the quiver. He smiles at the young girl frozen on the floor. She must be the sacrifice the captain has seen fit to have chosen for Silas Simon Klingston.

The Captain says, "Welcome to the Crescent II. I am Captain Lemuel Johnston, the third at your service. Who might you be? I know you not to be the legendary pirate Captain Silas Simon Klingston for he is not as young as you and he would only have his legendary sword Cobra with him."
