Confused // Ruby Rose

Chapter 3

All this walking around was starting to make me hungry. I pulled out my phone to check the time it was only 11:15. "Are you guys hungry? I am." "I'm starving." Ely said and exchanged a look with Ruby. "How bout you. Are you hungry?" He asked Ruby with a huge smirk on his face "Heck yeah" she said and turned to look at me and winked. Her and Ely started laughing and headed to the food court. "You coming,love?" Ruby turned around and waked towards me while Ely kept going. "yy..yeah I'm coming." She stopped and stood right in front of me. I didn't realize how attractive she was. Her eyes were the perfect shade of blue. Her skin was flawless. Plus her tattoos made her look badass. It's not like I'm into her though. I had a boyfriend. I notice that our bodies had become a lot closer, our chest your almost touching. She continued to stand there just looking me in the eye. She started to lean closer. Why am I not moving ,I'm just allowing her to get closer. "I think we should go. Ely's waiting for us." She whispered to me. The sound of her soft soothing voice gave me goosebumps. Right before I was able to reply Ely came up right beside us. "Maybe we should get some Panda Express?" Ruby and I both parted. "Ummm yeah sure that's fine with me" I told him hoping he didn't notice what was going on right now. "How bout you Ruby is panda fine?" We both turn to look at her. " yeah that's fine." She says. She still hasn't stopped looking at me. I was starting to feel a little bit weird. We all walked to the food court with me between the both of them with mine and Ely's arm locked together. Every now and then I would notice Ruby looking at me through the corner of her eyes. Once we got to the food court we walked up to the panda express. "Hey why don't you and Ruby go find a seat and I'll order us something okay?" "Okay. Come on." I started walking to the seats and she followed close behind. We decided on a booth instead of the chairs. "Hey I'm going to go get a drink want something?" "Umm a raspberry tea" I told her as I hand her some money. "It's fine I got it." She told me as she walked away to get the drinks. "Where's Ruby?" Ely asked as he set 6 boxes of food on the table. "She went to go get some drinks and is all the food necessary for only the three of us?" I asked looking down at the different choices of food he got. "It all looked so good I couldn't help myself." He said as he popped a piece of lemon chicken into his mouth. "I got you a Pepsi Ely." "Thanks." " Your raspberry tea." She said handing me a cold glass. "Thank you." "Yeah no problem." She said as she took a seat next me leaving Ely on the opposite side of us.

"Ruby you eat like a pig" "Shut up Ely." Ruby said as she shoved another piece of Orange chicken in to her mouth. "You want some Ari?" She said as she put a piece of the chicken on a fork. I leaned closer and bit the chicken off of the fork she was holding. We both began to laugh as she threw some rice at Ely. "What the fuck Ruby." Ely said laughing as he stood up walking away. "Where's he going?" Ruby asked as she turned to look at me. "Probably to the bathroom." I told her biting into another crab puff. "So how old are you,love" her accents makes me melt inside. "I'm 17. How bout you?" "19" she's not so much older then me. "So who are you staying with while your down. Do you have any family over here?" I asked her out of curiosity. " Yeah I have some family out here but I'm actually going to be staying with Ely."

Ely's parents bought him his own apartment last year when he was 16. They felt he needed his own space. He's 17 now he's been there a little over a year now. It's really nice and it's right across the street from where I live so it's perfect.

"Really? He didn't mention it to me. But that's cool. How long are you staying down here?" " I'm actually hoping to get my own place around here" she told me as she looks up from her plate of food. "I've been saving up some money. Every now and then I get a gig to go DJ at some clubs. You should come check it out the next time I do. You could even bring Ely if you want." "Yeah just let me know I'll definitely be there."  I look up and smile at her.

"You guys we have to go to Victoria secret they just released a new perfume!" We all stood up and threw out our food and headed to Victoria secret. "Hey guys I'm going to go look around." Ruby told us as she walked off leaving Ely and I alone. "Soooo....what do you think of her,Ari?" Ely asked me as he sprayed some perfume and smelled it. "She's cool I guess. She's nice" " Anything else?" Ely said as he started to poke my sides causing me to laugh because I'm really ticklish. "No. Why do you ask?" "You don't think she's cute or anything?" Omg I see what he's doing and little does he know it's not working. "No I don't and it doesn't matter if I did I don't like girls in that kind of way. Plus I have a boyfriend." He looks at me irritated with a straight face. "Justin? Really? I don't what you see in him anyways. He flirts with everyone at school, and he does it in front of your face. And you say you like her in that kind of way, but that's not what it looked like earlier. You two were damn near to sucking each others faces off." "No we weren't, and Justin's a good guy. You'd know that if you'd actually bother to socialize with him." I turned to look at him and he was staring at me with a raised eyebrow.  "I don't need to talk to him I already know what he is and a good guy isn't it."  "Well then tell me what is he according to you." "Correction, according to the entire school, he's a fuck boy, and I don't socialize with him cause I'm not sure if you're aware but sweetie, I do not associate with fuck boys." Is he serious right now he didn't just say that. "I don't care what others say I like him." "No you don't. When you like someone you look at them a certain way, and trust me I've never once seen you look at him with that look." Is that true? No it can't be he's just talking out of his ass right now. "Whatever, let's just pay for this stuff and go it's getting late." We walk up to cash register and put all the bottles of perfume, lotion, and body wash in the counter and pay for it. We walk out and wait for Ruby cause still inside paying for whatever she got. Once she comes out we head into a couple other stores before we decide to leave. We all bought some outfits and shoes then decide we should go. I told Ely that I would walk home since I didn't live to far from here. I started walking as Ely got in his car and left. Ruby was getting on her motorcycle and heading to his place since she's going to be staying with him. "Hey you want a ride, love?" I head Ruby ask as she pulled up beside me taking off her helmet. "No thanks I'm going to walk I don't live to far from here."  "Okay. I got this for you, I thought I'd wait to give it to you till we left though." She handed me a Victoria secret bag with something in it. "Ummmm thanks." "No problem." She said with a smirk on her face. She winked at me then put her helmet back on and rode away. I finally got home and decided to se what it was that Ruby got for me. I opened the bag and after I noticed what it was I started laughing to myself as I pulled out a pair of underwear and a bra. Both were a light grey with a darker grey lace fabric on top. I put everything away and got ready for bed. I put my phone in the nightstand beside my bed. I heard it go off. Someone must have texted me.
