Aqilah's perspective
School, school. Oh so wonderful school. I love school. School is important, I get it, but I just did not feel up to it. I grabbed my books, wore my scarf and quickly walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I paused before entering. Uhh... Ohno. This is one of those moments where you awkwardly stand in front of the bathroom.
This all happened when I was seven. And I was told demons live in there. And it took an hour before I was brave enough to go in. Looking back to that now it's pretty disturbing. I shook my head to knock out that feeling. After that I carefully walked in. I brushed my teeth and got the heck out of there.
"AQI!" Screamed Mina. Yes it is, in fact my fault. Too bad we have neighbours. After 5 minutes, A.K.A and eternity to Mina, we rode the bus to school. Mina started to doze off. I on the other hand just stared outside.
This is one of the things that I love to do. Simply zone out. I have read an article on the internet about people who zone out. People who do that are most likely creative. Am I creative? Man, I'm so deep sometimes.
The bus ride to school was always boring. Absolutely nothing to do. And if I do something, I get dizzy. I couldn't sleep either, i'm feeling that feeling where you just don't want to. I started to hum the melody of the wheels of the bus go round and round. Most people know that feeling. It happens a lot. I soon got bored of that melody so I started reciting the Quran to pass some time.
After a while we reached school. I woke up Mina. She groaned asking for a few more seconds. "Wake me up in a million years..." I can not allow that. So I simply tugged at her scarf until she was annoyed enough to wake up.
"Aqilah! Stop it!" I simply smirked and said. "Good morning. You do remember that you slept earlier than me and woke up later than me?"
She told me she needed a minimum of 9 hours of rest. We weren't really arguing. It was a playful conversation. Those conversations I like. I was going to say something but we had already reached school.
