The World Book, I read. I opened the dusty tomb, coughing as the cobwebs and dirt crumbled to the ground and began to read:

The Creation of Lasrin

A long, long time ago a large meteor became home to five creatures. One Snird, one Person, one Smithle, one Ixil and one Bak-Ji.  They were called The Council of Five.  Master Wingblow of the ShadowSea, Lord Isaac Merrow of Tripisal, High Queen Aislin of Capybara, Emperies Keira of Megoria, and Grand Duchess Darcia of Simmenco.

These five creatures named their planet Lasrin and split it into five countries; each creature had its own domain to rule. Together they shaped their planet. And their was peace.

These rulers lived for centuries but everything must die eventually and so the council sought a cure; an Elixir of life. And they found it. And so they continued to rule.

Everyone stayed in their own designated spaces, mostly –except to trade of course, or to travel on business- and this isolation eventually led to mistrust to breed deep within the groups. Despite this, the races of Lasrin mostly ignored each other and everything was fine. But peace cannot be eternal and so the races were just waiting for a significant reason to let out there pent up rage, anger; there excess of feelings that had no place in a world of peace.

The Five Places

Capybara

Ruled by the High Queen Aislin, Capybara is the realm of the Ixil’s. Inside Capybara is Faygrass forest and Merrow Fort. On the west Capybara is bordered by The Shadow Sea. On the other side is Megoria. To the south are Myst and Simmenco.

Megoria

Ruled by the Emperies Keira Megoria is the realm of the Smithles. In Megoria is Riverwild and Ashwillow forest. To the south is Simmenco and to the west is Capybara.

The ShadowSea

Ruled by Master Wingblow the ShadowSea is the realm of Snirdson’s. There is a floating port called WinddalePort that floats free in the great sea. Wilde Wall borders it on one side Capybara touches the other side.

Tripisal

Ruled by Lord Isaac Merrow, Tripisal, is the land of the People. In Tripisal there is a place called Myst which is a field always covered in a veil of mist. The mist makes anyone who inhales it irritable and libel to turn on friends and allies. It muddies the brain severely. On one side is Wilde Wall and on the other is Simmenco.

Simmenco

Ruled by The Grand Duchess Darcia Simmenco is the land of the Bak-Ji. Black Wheat meadow is the only place that Globe Stalks grow so this is what they mainly trade. Flanked by Tripisal on the north west and Capybara in front and Megoria in the north east Simmenco is bordered in

Creatures of Lasrin

Bak-Ji

Bak-Ji are large creatures that have four limbs and a tail. Their haunches are smaller and like a rabbits so they can sit back and balance on them. Their arms are like a gorillas; thick and long- and good for strangling. They have six fingers and opposable thumbs tipped with long nails that curve over the tips of their fingers. Their heads are small and their mouths big. They had long, floppy ears and big, usually dark expressive eyes. Bak-Ji are covered in thick, soft fur –in all colors- covering their whole bodies and are extremely intelligent. They can speak and are very stealthy and agile despite their size. Bak-Ji are carnivores and take refuge in meadows or in dark underground caverns or dens, though most reside in Black Wheat Meadow They are immune to Black Wheat dust and other poisons.
