Bryce's POV
Hart isn't as scary as I thought he was. He was cute and sweet, and he was spending all of his free time with me lately...I didn't know why. I haven't told him I was gay yet...well I haven't told him much of anything yet. Right now I was heading to my daily hide out in silence. I opened the basement door and Hart was already down there. I gasped loudly and backed up.
"Hey Bryce." He smiled and after I saw his face, I started to remember what had happened on Friday....shit. As a natural habit, I just stayed silent and I could feel my cheeks heating up. "Bryce? Are you okay?" I nodded slowly "Are you still uncomfortable around me?" I stared at the ground "You kissed me" I mumble. His eyes widened as if he had remember everything "Listen Bryce. I didn't know what I was thinking." He rambled on...I wasn't listening "Hart?" "I'm sorry. I understand if you never want to talk to me again...." "Hart, you're rambling" "Oh. Sorry" I looked into his eyes and just looked down again "Bryce. I'm sorry. You're just so cute and I couldn't help it. You're a very special guy...and even though I don't know you that well, you mean a lot to me" I know I cry a lot but I let it out and hugged him tightly. I stayed that way for a while, just cuddled up to his chest. My eyes closed and arms around him, and even though I wasn't looking at him, I knew he was just as comfortable

Hart's POV
"I saw you talking to that kid." This cheerleader with bright blonde pigtails said. "He's not a kid. He is in high school, isn't he. I think he's a year older than you, "kid." She was smacking on he gum really loudly. "I'm just trying to save your reputation. Don't get mad at me." Fuck that shit. Other people care more about my popularity than me. "Yeah, you'll never get a girlfriend if any girl sees you talking to him." Why was she being so mean. What did Bryce do to deserve this. "I'm sorry. Every girl here is too vain here anyways, and everyone has a hideous personality." She freaked out when I used the word hideous. Then her boyfriend came up. "What are you doing with my girl?" Now I was mad. "She came up and talked to me. I want nothing to do with her!" Oh shit. I should've just kept my big mouth shut. When I came out of my thoughts, that's when I noticed a rather large looking fist coming at me in what seemed like slow motion. Bryce came up to me. Nothing was coming out of his mouth, but he sure was freaking out. I could tell. Blood poured from my nose. "God dammit." I cursed to myself. Bryce then curled up into that small ball. "Please don't be mad at me." He cried. "Shhh, baby, don't be sad. That was all my fault. You just happened to see me at the wrong time." He helped me up and without a word, we walked to English class.

Bryce's POV
Oh my god. He's hurt and it's all my fault. I didn't do anything to stop him. This is why I don't deserve friends. Silent tears rolled down my face. If there is a Hell, I'm going to the hottest part of it.
Hart's POV
"Bubba sad." Hope repeated constantly as she was pulling on my pant leg. "Baby, I'm not sad." I kissed her nose playfully and she giggled. "My friend thinks I got hurt because of him." She was shocked. "Your friend hurt you?! I'll beat him up!" She threatened. "No, my "boyfriend," remember, baby?" "He's the cutest. I want to kiss his cheek like this." She then leaned over and gave the the biggest, sloppiest, open mouth kiss a toddler could give.
