Chapter 10

Kat's P.O.V.

What is that dreading sound?! "Guys... This sound is really creeping me out already!" Kathy starts. "I know it's been going on too long!" Niall adds. I just nod speechless. But I wonder why I heard my old BFF giggle. Well, BFF and cousin...... Well- actually- ahh never mind you get the point right? Right. "Guys, chill it's just my dog!" She laughs. "You. Have a. D-dog? Kathy stutters. "Yeah! Over there!" She points behind the couch. Kathy practically ran like the wind heading to the dog. I giggled. Oh, Kathy! I always knew she would risk ALL her gadgets for a tiny dog she doesn't even know. So much more for her own. She had 5 dogs at a time. If one dies, she gets another! It was when she was 10 she was the happiest. She had two Japanese spitz, 1st-11 (older than her) 2nd-1, one toy poodle (it's not a toy, it's just the breed) which is 2, one chihuahua which is 1, last but not least, one pug which is 3! It was amusing to see how she'd react if someone touched them!

"Awwww!!!!! It's so cute! A-coochie, coochie, cooo!!!!!! What breed is it, cuz?" Kathy gushes. "Maltese, Kathy!" She laughs. Then Kathy's expression saddens. It must be about Milo. "Milo.." She whispers to herself. "You wanna drink milo?" Niall chuckles. "No, Milo is Alexandra's dog....." Kathy starts. I decided to finish because they all looked confused. "Milo was a very loyal Maltese. One day, he took a walk out of Alexandra's place." I started. "Who is Alexandra?" Niall asks. "Kathy's cousin, not mine." He just nods. "So he went out, a big dog attacked him and he was taken to the vet. The vet said he was bleeding inside. He vomited blood then-" I was cut off by Kathy's faint voice. "D-died" she stuttered, her voice barely enough for us to hear. She broke in to tears and ran up her room. They started to stand and run after her but I stop them.

"no, don't. Give her some space! You know how sensitive she is about dogs. They nod understandingly. "Yeah.." My cousin replies. "By the way, you still didn't tell us your name fair lady..." Niall continues. "Oh, yeah. I'm Cece!" She chirps. "I'm Nia-" "stop!" He was cut off by Cece. "I know you. I've heard a LOT from when Kathy was younger!" We all laughed as we remembered Kathy liking Niall before.
