I wrote your name on my hand

But it faded away

I named my dog after you

But he ran away

I wrote your name on a piece of paper

But it was thrown away

I named my stuffed animal after you

But it was taken away

I wrote your name in the sand

But it washed away

So I wrote you name on my heart

And now it is here to stay
