Hinata didn't mean to be clumsy.
He just was.
On his way to school, he would ride his bike. It's not his fault the tire hit the sidewalk crack the wrong way.
It just happened.
It also wasn't his fault when his foot got caught in a small hole, tripped, and then ran into a fuming Kageyama.
"Watch where you're going, dumbass!" He said, rubbing the bump forming on back of his head. Hinata stuck out his tongue.
"You shouldn't have been standing there Bakageyama!" Hinata said, crossing his arms as he walked with Kageyama to the shoe lockers. They both changed their shoes while trading insults to each other.
"Get a room!" An irritating voice came out of nowhere. The duo whirled around and growled.
"Shut up Tsukishima!" The two said in unison, yelling at the tall blonde.
"Come on Yamaguchi, we need to get away from those idiots. Their stupidity might be contagious."
Hinata growled. "Tsukishimaa-" He started but then stopped suddenly when the bell rang. He made eye contact with Kageyama and they cursed. Hinata stuffed his shoes in the locker and quickly made his way to class-but was stopped short when he tripped over a step.
"Oh come on, how can you play volleyball when you can't even walk properly." Kageyama growled, peeling Hinata off the ground and dragging him up the steps.
"Hehe..thanks Kageyama." He said quietly. The raven didn't see, but the usual ball of sunshine had his own sun heat going on his cheeks.
"Yeah just don't hurt yourself that you can't play volleyball. That would suck," Kageyama dropped Hinata at his classroom, and then he rushed to his.
Hinata opened the classroom door and rubbed the back of his head shamefully.
"Ah if it isn't Hinata, late again, are we?" The teacher said with a tired smile. Hinata nodded.
"Well take a seat. We haven't really discussed anything since class just started."
Hinata trudged back to his seat. When he sat, his hairs stood on end. His eyes traveled over to Tsukishima.
He could practically hear him chanting-"Idiot idiot idiot idiot"
Hinata frowned.
Yamaguchi, who sat next to Hinata, leaned over.
"If you keep scowling like that, your face might freeze and you'll look like Kageyama."
Hinata gulped and put on a smile. Tsukishima snickered.

Hinata managed to trip three more times that day. His classmates were used to it by now. They didn't even think it was funny anymore. They just passed by like it was nothing.
Tripping wasn't that big of a deal-Hinata almost always never got hurt. And when he did, it was more of a skinned knee or rug burn. Nothing serious.Hinata skipped to the club room, quickly changing into his volleyball uniform. He felt extra excited today, since the day before Daichi announced that today they were going to go out as a team for meat buns after today's practice. Not like they didn't do that every time- but this time it was mandatory to go. Hinata giggled at the sight of Yamaguchi forcing Tsukishima down the street.
"Oi, what are you laughing at?" Kageyama appeared to his right. Hinata shrugged.
Practice went by quite quickly. Nishinoya and Tanaka kept telling jokes that Hinata didn't understand. When Nishinoya asked if Kageyama could spike it harder, Tanaka yelled out, "That's what she said!' The two burst out in a fit of giggles.
