As I lay there dying, my mind keen on leaving,
I'm ready I say, my final moments receding,
my last breaths, breathing,
I come to meet my final regret,
A pain running deeper than my wounds
They were sounds of friendships torn,
They were the salty tears of people come to mourn
They were the waves washing over the beach, without me.
As I look through the mirror that is my eyes, my thoughts, my mind,
I see babies born, the sun, the moon, the waves washing over the beach, without me.
As I lay there, bleeding out on my living room floor, through my glassy, lifeless eyes, I see, the world revolving without me.
See I am a speck in this magnificent world, people will live, people will die, the world will still be, without me.
As I lay there, I come to my senses and with my final breaths, I cry.
