I looked down at this lifeless body. Tears brimming at the corners of my eye, disappointment flooded through my body as I wasn't able to help her through this.

I sat down on my porch step with a blanket covering me. Lights were everywhere along with like 4 police cars and an ambulance. I got up as I heard them behind me I watched them bring her out in a gurney with a black bag covering her whole body. I shook my head knowing that image was gonna be stuck in my head forever. I heard another car pull up but stop abruptly. I turned and saw Sebastian my brother look around with worry written in his face until his eyes met mines he ran up to me and hugged me.

"Taylor what happened are you okay" he shouted over the sirens.

"She-she-Mom's dead" I stuttered out it was so hard to even find the words to say.

Sebastian pulled me into another hug this time tighter than the last one. I was literally crying like my life depended on it. I heard him sniffle as he stroked my hair whispering comforting words.

"Sorry to interrupt, but ma'm we'll be taking her to St. John's" a man from emergency stated walking away. Just as a police officer came up to us.

"We're gonna need to ask you a couple of questions. The one thing we dont want to do is bring you down to the station when your going through a time like this" I sniffed while nodding.

"Where did you find her"

"Um in the bathroom in her room"

"Has she been acting strange the last couple of days" I bit my lip as Sebastian and I both nodded.

"Well that's all thank you for your time" he started to walk off but turned back around.

"Hey do you two have a place to stay, any relatives nearby" he questioned.

"Our dad he lives in Nevada" Sebastian stated releasing me  from the hug. He nodded and walked away.

First Chapter!! It's really sad that their mom passed away.
Hayes will be introduced in the story later
