"Yo, you're fucking crazy for just showing up at her place when she got a dude." Sam shook his head as he passed me the blunt.
I smiled. I could careless if she was with somebody or not. I just needed to know if it was really her I saw at the club the other night.
I found out from other people in the club that she actually worked there. I talked to her coworker Cara and she sent me to her crib. Not saying it was easy, but I did have to prove a lot of shit on how I knew Ri because evidently a lot of guys claim they know her and say they're fucking her.
I let the smoke leave my mouth as I lean back on the headboard against the hotel bed. I've been under a lot of shit lately when trying to work on this song.
Coming up with a bunch of lyrics isn't easy when they all turn out shitty. The light from the bathroom caused me to squint my eyes as Sam went in and closed the door behind him. I sighed and sat up putting the blunt out in the ash tray before grabbing my jacket and my keys to my rental to head out.

"Yo, it's almost closing time man. What the fuck are you still doing here?"
I groaned, not wanting to pick my head up from resting in my arms. I looked up to see some girl shaking them and yelling at me for me to leave. I ended up at that club from a few nights ago again, just to clear my head.. with alcohol.
Wasn't here to see her, in fact I wasn't even thinking about her. By the time I got here I order a shit ton of shots and basically got shit faced when knowing I have to drive myself back to the hotel.
Even though it wasn't my intention to get this way tonight it was like I became chill with whoever kept bringing me drinks. Even after I told them I didn't have enough money for all of it, but of course I lied just to get a rise out of it.
It was like she, whoever she was knew I was lying cause the way she laughed after I said it. Then she just kept saying the drinks are on us and continued to bring me more when I asked.
When I finally got the strength to sit up and get a glimpse of the girl in front of me with a stupid grin on her face I rolled my eyes faced with Cara and placed my elbows on the counter with my face in my hands.
"Fuck.." I groaned.
"I'm not thrilled to see your punk ass either, but c'mon.. I know you missed me." She laughed, as she walked away and grabbed another class and filling it with probably more alcohol.
"Hold up, I'm finished for tonight." I held help my hands.
"Calm down, it's ice water."
She reached in her pocket and pulled out a bottle that contained some pills. She then grabbed my left hand and placed one of them in my hand and stared at me for a second.
"What?"
"Well, take it and drink some water idiot."
"How do I not know you aren't just trying to make me high so you can get me in the back room.." She rolled her eyes and I smiled. I took the pill and drank the water.
"Thanks again by the way."
"Mhm." She cleaned up the counter one last time and then folded up the small towel rag she used and started walking off.
I tried to remove myself from the stool, but I stumbled a little bit and almost fell off my ass. Ri came from the back and looked my way as Cara laughed and cover her mouth.
"Well, thanks ya'll. I'm out." I mumbled.
"Are you dumb?" Cara said.
"He is and so are you, still can't believe your ass told him where I lived. And continued to serve him drinks after I told you not too."
Her tone was serious and there was absolutely no doubt she was pissed.
"Ri, get over your fucking self. He's an old friend." She smiled.
"Fuck you both."
"When and where?" I smirked.
She glared at me. It was always fun to make her so angry, she looks too cute when she's angry and it was a weakness for me. Always has been.
"Ri is right though, Nate you can't go out and just drive."
The closer Ri got to me I couldn't help, but look at her from head to toe. She was wearing dark jeans, a white tank top that was covered by a light blue jacket and a pair of black open toed heels.
"How else am I suppose to get back to the hotel?" I yawned.
Ri grabbed her keys out her jacket pocket and threw them towards Cara. "He safe with my baby."
She then came closer to me and stared in my eyes as she reached in my pockets, grabbing my keys.
"Let's get the heck out of here before she ends up making me clean this place all over again." She laughed.
"Be careful ya'll!" Cara shouted.
As I tried to follow Ri, I still wasn't able to pick myself up like before I came here even though I was a little high. She grabbed my arm and helped me till we left out the bar and ended up outside.
I told her where my car was and she helped me into the passenger seat. When she got in and backed the car out the parking lot I couldn't keep my eyes off of her, the way she sat up straight in the seat and focused om the road in this weird awkward silence.
"Staring at me isn't going to make you sober."
"My baby is just so fucking fine. I couldn't help myself." I placed my hand on her inner thigh and felt her shift in the seat.
"Move ya hand before you loose it." She warned, pushing my hand away. I chuckled and looked out the window.
"Where the hell am I going?"
"The hotel that's like 30 minutes away from your house." I replied.
"There's a lot of hotels 30 minutes away from my place smart one."
"I forgot the name. It's the first one off the highway babe." I sighed
"What made you come?" She asked.
"Free alcohol." I smiled.
"Not the bar dumbass. I'm talking about what made you want to come to California?"
"Big shit happens here. I want to be apart of big shit I guess."
I never actually thought about what really made me come here. It was Sam's idea, but not any ounce of me declined the suggestion. And seeing Ri would be a plus. Along with free weed and other females that may come across.
"Would this have to do with you needing my help with this favor you asked me a week ago?"
I shook my head. "Not everything is about you."
"No, but everything was about you."
