Prologue
Sam and Dean had been searching everywhere for their sister. Although she wasn't their sister by blood, she was Bobby's child. So, she was close enough. But she went missing six months ago; right after the hellhound came for Dean.
They knew that their sister could take care of herself. Still, they worried. At least now they wouldn't have to worry so much because they had finally gotten a lead on her whereabouts.
Where was Katherine really? She was kidnapped six months ago by a demon. But within a couple of months she escaped. Not wanting this to happen again, or to her brothers, Katherine decided to go into hiding. She couldn't go back. It was best they think her dead.
So, what did she do? Nothing that Sam and Dean would ever think of. Nope. Katherine changed her name and moved out to California to write songs for uprising bands. She writes, she sings, and the band listens and decides if they like it. But, she never takes any of the credit. Which is absolutely fine by her. She wants to stay hidden.
This new alternative band called Imagine Dragons has offered her a large amount of money to write their new album. Of course Katherine accepted. Who wouldn't? So, for the past few months, that's what she had been doing. And she was almost done recording them all.
She's leading the perfect secret life so far. What could go wrong? Well, isn't that the punch line in every horror film?
