The land was at its darkest point and you could hear a pin drop it was so silent. I had turned around and there on a bridge was my father talking to himself, his voice was deep, but shallow, however what he said would surprise you the most. "I have made a mistake, a big mistake, I have lost my daughter for nothing but the grief from the death of my poor wife!" He said to the ground, " My daughter needs to know that I need her hidden power to change back this dreaded land". I felt light headed I had never known that I had an untapped power within me, but I was still outraged that he left me at such a very young age. For some unknown reason I had called out, " Father?" I was shaking as I continued, "What power? Why did you leave me? What did I ever do to you?! he had hesitated to look at me for the first time in a very long while. " Nothing, it was me I let my selfish mind take over, but besides from that I love you my dear girl and I will never lose you ever again, I promise!" I had rolled my eyes in disbelief, "Wait, can I ask you for a favour?". I had felt disgraced and needed to tell him exactly how I felt, "How dare you ask me for a favour after you making me live on scraps for the majority of my life without giving it a second thought!

He had asked me for my hand, my love and for my forgiveness, and all I gave him was my hand and that was all he deserved.

And straight after I ran away as fast as my legs could take me.
