It was hot sunny day on Ratchets home planet Veldin where he works in a garage where he fixed up ships. But the thing he ever wanted to do was to become a galactic ranger and save the world. But his boss/guardian wouldn't let him because he wasn't old enough and wasn't ready to go out into the world.
"When can become a galactic ranger it's been my dream since I was a baby lombax." Said Ratchet with a bit of sadness and disappointment.
"When I say so." Said his boss.
"Screw you" he said silently.
Later that night Ratchet cried himself to sleep because he wasn't allowed to be a galactic ranger. But then his guardian/boss went out to get some new parts for the garage. A couple hours after he left there was a big crash about a mile away from the garage.
"What the heck was that". Said Ratchet so he went to go check it out.
