Morning came too quickly, and everything from the night before came flooding out. I pushed it all out of my mind and got dressed and ready for school alongside Georgia.

It was a typical Monday morning. I was running late for everything. I had forgotten to do some homework. It was raining. It was cold. Basically nothing was right.

I was happy to just to get to work and forget the beginning of the day. When I walk into Stockholm's, Niall comes right up to me, looking full of questions.

"Hey, Ni!" I say, pulling the apron over my tee and heading over to the Bakery to restock.

"Hi! Ok, so you need to tell me what the hell was going on last night," he says with a chuckle, his eyes twinkling.

"Ok, here goes. So, I had a dream that you were asleep in your apartment and everything was burning around you and I panicked and called to make sure you were ok."

"Wow, well I'm glad it wasn't on fire. Thanks for worrying about me," he says with a cheeky smile as his cheeks turn pink.

"Yeah, no prob. I wouldn't have gone so crazy, it's just that I've had a few nightmares that had people I knew in them and then they, well... they actually came true," I whisper the last part.

"I'm sorry," is all he replies, probably not wanting to make me relive the hurt. "So, I'm making Irish food tonight for dinner. Do you wanna come over...as friends of course."

"Yeah, I'd love that! Anything but frozen pizza and Ramen," I laugh, filling up the case of bakery rolls as I talk.

"Haha! I can pick you up at your place at 7 then if that's good with you."

"Perfect! Hey, can I ask you something?" I ask.

"Sure, anything."

"Is it ok if I just wear sweats? I really don't feel like wearing normal clothes," I laugh.

"I'm glad you said that, cuz I was planning on going completely scrubby tonight, too!" he laughs, his eyes crinkling at the ends.

"Awesome!" I reply, feeling excited for what the night would bring.

When Georgia's car pulls up at 6, I hop in, a huge smile plastered on my face. "Ok, what happened?" she asks laughing.

"Someone's got herself a date tonight!" I smile from ear to ear.

"OH. MY. GOSH! Ahhhhhhhh!" she screams, shaking so much in the car I'm sure everyone within the Duluth area felt the ground shake a little. "Wait, it's with Niall, right?" she stops suddenly, looking me in the eyes.

"No, it's with Bart," I say sarcastically.

"I just knew it. I just knew it!" she repeats as we drive away.

"Stop, ok, we're just friends" I say matter-of-factly.

"Whatever. Someday you might think differently, though." When she says this, I secretly hope we just stay friends. I really don't want to date a Mason again, thought, I don't think Niall is like him at all.

When we get home from work, I hop in the shower, making sure to put on a shower cap to keep my hair hopefully contained for the night. Then I throw on my favorite pair of joggers, some fuzzy socks, and a bright Adidas crop top before grabbing my phone to head out.

"Hey, I don't know when I'm gonna be back, so don't wait up for me or anything," I say, heading out.

"It's all good! You two kids have fun now, ya hear?" she asks with a fake Southern accent and a big smile.
