~Tuesday, May 4th (6:00)~
~New-Bodhum - Farron Residence~
That morning, I woke up earlier than planned. It was only 6:00 when I felt the hot rays of the sun on my skin. Even though we were at the beginning of May, the sun was still there. Palumpolum was way much colder than Bodhum. Before, when I came here to visit you, I noticed that the summer came sooner here. Maybe because the town was near the ocean? That hot feeling on my skin was really nice. I opened my eyes, only to be flashed by the bright light.
Hope shut his eyes closed because of the bright yellow light. He turned on his other side, facing the wall in the shadow and opened his eyes again. After adjusting to the day light, he stood up and went in the bathroom.
After brushing his hair, he went downstairs in the kitchen where Lightning was. She already was wearing her uniform, excepted for her holster and her boots. She was sitting at the table, a cup of coffee in front of her, and seemed lost in thoughts.
Smiling to himself, Hope stepped forward to the fridge, kissing Lightning on the cheek on the way. The young woman jumped slightly before looking up at Hope.
"Hey Light. How are you?" Hope asked, a big smile on his perfect face.
Lightning gave him a small smile and answered, "Hi Hope, you're up early today."
"Yes, when I go to sleep early, I wake up early," Hope explained. He took the milk from the fridge and a cup.
"If you say that to make me change my mind about your curfew, you're totally wrong," Lightning said, slowly taking a sip of her coffee.
"At least, I had tried," Hope chuckled. He filled his cup with coffee, milk and sugar. "When do you come home today?"
"19:00, I've got a big day ahead of me. My troops are in exam tomorrow and I want to train them today," Lightning answered, sighing.
Hope frowned, worried. "Your troops? Be careful Light. I know you can protect yourself but don't overdo it, alright?"
"Yes dad," Lightning said ironically.
Hope smiled at the comment and added, "I worry about you Light. Promise me, please."
"Alright, fine. I promise," Lightning said.
"Thank you."
"Okay, I have to go now," Lightning said taking her bag. She put on her boots while Hope helped her with her holster. "See you tonight."
"Good day Light," Hope greeted.
On those words, Lightning leaved the house closing the door behind her. Hope looked at the clock, it was 6:40. He went upstairs after putting his cup on the sink. He brushed his teeth and changed in jog pants and tee-shirt, decided to go for a jog.
He went downstairs, putting on his running shoes and took his earbuds and phone. Then, he started to run, music in his ears. It was only 6:45, and Hope knew he had a good hour ahead of him. He decided to run around Bodhum High, then go on the beach, and in downtown to finish. He made his way toward Bodhum High, full of stamina.
About five minutes later, Hope saw Lightning walking toward the Guardian Corp. Wanting to scare her, he discreetly came behind her and poked her in the ribs.
"Aaaah-" Lightning yelled. Hope laughed out loud when she recognized him. "Are you happy? You scared me!" she scolded.
"Your face was priceless!" Hope said, still laughing.
