Jaehyun's POV:
~ knock knock ~
I knocked on Appa's study room door.
He responded with a "Come in"
I entered and saw that he was sitting on the sofa reading "The Times London" and drinking his morning tea.
He looked up at me and greeted with a warm smile, "Good Morni....."
Before he could finish his sentence, I announced, "I want to move out, I want to move to Seoul"
Jaehyun's Thoughts:
My family shifted to London when I was 5. My father who is the CEO of "JUNG GLOBALS" wanted his head office in London so our entire family moved to London.
My father's a loving and jolly person and not the typical cliché cold arrogant CEO appa types that kdramas usually potray.
My mother whom I love to the moon and back passed away the year before due to heart failure.
And appa is now dating a woman named Shin Junghwa.
I really couldn't believe it when he told me he was dating someone, more than that I couldn't believe when he told me he was thinking of getting married to her.
I can't stand some woman just coming and taking umma's place. And what example is appa setting up for Jaemin-ah, my 8 year old brother.
That's the main reason why I want to go back to Seoul and stay there at our previous house. And it's also been a while since I've last been to Korea.
Back To The Present:
Appa was shocked to hear what I had just said rather announced.
"Wae? (Why?)" was all he said.
"Because......because firstly, I want a change of air and the other one.....you very well know what the other one is ....." (referring to Shin Junghwa )
Appa sighed and with a heavy voice said, "Hyun-ah, you know it's not like that, I loved your umma dearly and I too was heart broken when she passed away, it was hard for me too, I forced myself to move on for your sake and for Min-ah's sake. For how long should we keep dwelling in the past its time to move on."
"Appa! " I raised my voice "How? How can you say that? So easily?!"
*tears welled up in my eyes*
"I can't, no, I won't stay in this house if 'that woman' is going to freely walk in and out of this house whenever she likes."
"Hyun-ah!" now it was Appa's turn to raise his voice. "Show some respect and address Junghwa properly. She's going to become your mother soon."
"All the more reasons for me to move to Korea" I retorted
Appa looked at me, sighed, and then his gaze softened and he spoke, "Mianhe Hyun-ah! This must be hard on you but can't you at least acknowledge Junghwa's presence or greet her when she's here. Junghwa loves you both and you know that too."
Jaehyun's Thoughts:
I know Junghwa-sshi isn't a bad person and I know that she cares and loves Jaemin-ah and me but just the thought of another woman replacing my mom is too much.
Back to the Present:
Silence prevailed in the study room as both of us didn't utter a single word.
After a few minutes Appa sighed and with a serious face said, "I'll let you move to Korea, you can move out within the week but only under one condition."
I was surprised when appa agreed to it (me moving to Seoul) but what I didn't know was that I'd be more surprised to hear 'his condition'.
