Hey. My name's Mackenzie. I'm 16 years old. I live with my older sister and her boyfriend. My parents died four years ago when they were on a cruise for their anniversary. I don't really know what happened with the ship, but the ship ended up sinking, bringing my parents down with it. I never got a chance to say goodbye. But nothing's certain in this world. Everything I get attached to leaves, so I refuse to do it anymore. I don't know.
I do love my sister though. If it wasn't for her I would probably be in a foster home or something, since none of our family members offered to take care of me. It was probably hard for her, you know, an eighteen year old having to take on the responsibility of caring for a kid. She gave up her whole life for me and I could never be grateful enough. I'm glad she met Landon. He's good for her.
We live in Santa Monica, California. I like the warm weather year round. If I could I would live at the beach. The crashing of the waves calms me. People think I would hate the beach and the water because of what happened to them, but I don't. It wasn't really anyone's fault, so I can't place blame.
I don't have many friends. I honestly don't allow people to get close to me anymore. I know it's wrong, but I just can't help it. My best friend in the entire world is Michael. He's honestly the most amazing guy I've ever met, besides my dad. Brooke would say it's Landon, but I guess he can come a close second. Seriously though, I can tell Mike anything and he never judges me or anything. He just listens and may make an occasional comment. Well, that's it for now.
