Kuzuryuu had known Peko all his life. Once Peko was found and taken in by the Kuzuryuu clan, she devoted her strength, mind, and life to serve Fuyuhiko's requests. When the two were younger, they would go out and play together. If Fuyuhiko got hurt by tripping or getting cut by a branch, Peko was always there to aid his wounds.
Once, Fuyuhiko and Peko got kidnapped, yet they succeeded in escaping. Unfortunately, they got lost in a Moutain. Peko didn't want Fuyuhiko to worry in the slightest bit, and tried to cheer him up desperately. But she ended up making him cry, because he could sense Peko's fear and anxiety. They both then were rescued by Peko's talent of being a swordswoman.
Fuyuhiko was always the type to pick fights with anyone, even though he usually never won, and he usually cried until the second grade. Peko and Fuyuhiko went to a zoo, Fuyuhiko being himself, decided to pick a fight with some monkeys. Peko, following his lead, joined him in the fight, protecting him.
They grew up, and they grew up together. They both would go to practice their fighting, and would practice together, When Fuyuhiko was in a pretend battle with Peko, Peko would always let him win, and he noticed that. He knew that Peko was much stronger than him, Yet she always let him win, he always wondered why.
Soon enough, their child days would end as they got even older. Fuyuhiko's parents then told him that Peko would be his personal assassin/ body guard and that she would be his property. He agreed, but never saw her as property, as long as she was herself, everything would be fine for him. Peko, instead of calling Fuyuhiko by his name would now call him 'Master' He didn't like this that much but let it slide at points.
Now they were stuck on this island, Fuyuhiko had ordered Peko to keep their relationship a secret. Peko, having no choice but to obey him, pretended to not even know him.
