Still Tyler's POV
I hit my palms against the steering wheel.
"I'm never going to find her Alex!" I shouted.
"Doesn't she have that tracker thing in her ankle from where she walked herself to the next town for sleep walking?" She suggests. I look over to the Albert Einstein that is sitting in the passenger seat of my slick black Volvo. Without replying I take out my phone and track where she is. I had the damn thing install when she would run off in her sleep to random places and get lost.
"She's in the place where the old Tim Hortons used to be."
"I can't believe this is happening!" Alex yells. I sigh and drive off to our destination.
###About ten minutes later###
"Turn there!" Alex demanded. I obeyed and turned into a ran down building with boards over the windows protect any lurking eyes to wander in. I huffed and unbuckled my seat belt. I looked over to Alex whom was chewing off the bits of her fingernails.
"I think you should drive yourself home dear...."
"No! What if something happens?!"
"How about I call you and keep you on call the whole time I'm in there. If something happens you can hear and call da Mounties."
"Ok. I-I have to go." She said stumbling over her words. I nodded and slid out of the car. I walked towards the dark building and heard a crack of thunder. I flicked up my hood and opened the metal door. It screeched as I peered into the emptiness of the building. The smell of rotten cardboard fanned against my nose. I pulled out my phone, dialing Alex and turning of the flashlight that was built into my iPhone.
"Cassy?" I called, echoes ringing back into my ears. No response. I call her name multiple time until my throat was sore. I gave up and looked in the rooms. I ran down the stes of the basement, being careful not to trip on the lose boards.
"Well hello there, Tyler." A voice from the shadows called. It was very well light in the room and every corves was exposed. Max stood behind Cassidy who was sitting in a chair. She wasn't tied up but had bruises on her face.
"Cassidy." He face was absolutely heart wrenching. I should have been there when she wakened. I should have made her breakfast in bed before meeting Felix. This is all my fault... My frail flower was my reasonability, I promised Star. I broke a promise that could send us back under the ground.
"Help." Her voice scratched at my heart. It sounded so small, so tired and obsolete.
