"Come on, we have to get to shelter before the next blizzard." Ash said to her mate, Coal. They were looking for the Flame Crystal, said to have powers to bring the Volcanic Fury tribe to peace and order. They were in a taiga biome,it was starting to snow, and night was upon them. Coal stopped and looked up into a tree, noticing a large silvery white egg starting to crack.
"Ash, does that look like a snowy owl egg or dragon egg?" He asked her. She walked over and looked at it. She couldn't see clearly, so she flew up as her jet black scales glistened in the last rays of sunlight. Two snowy owls looked at her with relief.
"Thank you so much for being here, we need your help." The female said.
"What is it?" She asked.
"This egg is a bird fury egg, and this species is rare. We need you to take care of it because we are too old now." The male said in a sickly frail voice.
"Do you know what kind of bird fury it is?" Ash asked the pair of owls.
"It is a snowy owl for sure. The egg would not have lasted in this kind of weather." The female said. "It's nearly ready to break out, so take this scrap of leather to hold it in and keep it warm." He male said, giving her a 3 foot long cow hide.
"Thank you, and I promise that the baby will be safe under our care." She said. The egg bursted open, and a fluffy white dragonet popped out in a mushy mess of egg goo. It cried at the feel of the cold air, so ash quickly wrapped it in the hide. The two owls looked at Ash and smiled, knowing the wish of their old friend would be fulfilled. The huddled close to each other and expected their children to come and greet them when they got to Glaumora.

"What happened up their Ash?" Coal asked.
"Two extremely old owls said that we needed to take care of this dragonet. It's a bird fury." She said. Coal walked over and took a closer look at it. The fluffy white down covered the majority of her body, a little black "beak" looked big on her, and she opened up her large golden-yellow eyes. Her little wings had no feathers on them, and the little one had stubby little black talons on her little legs. She was also so small that he would be surprised that she would make it.
"I looked around a little bit, and I found a cave a few yards from here. It's deep, and there hasn't been anything or anyone in it for months." He said, looking into Ash's bright orange eyes.
"Then let's hurry, because this one will get sick and we will turn into icicles." She said. The two furies lifted into the air and flew swiftly to a dark cave that seemed to yawn with nothingness.
"I'm gonna grab some wood to start a fire, so get her inside and keep her warm until I come back." Coal said.
"Okay, but don't take too long." She said to him while rushing into the cave. She held the dragonet close to her heart and spit some fire to light her way. She found an old stick, and she set it ablaze and looked at the walls around her. There would old runes left by some Mushroom Furies from long ago. Ash could read them, and they said information about the land.

This land has a mysterious magic, the fae that accompany us can feel it and so can we. Our queen, Kinoko, feels the Flame Crytal or Wind Crystal is in this area. She specializes in the art of magic sensing, so she is right about one of them. We are staying in this cave system that stretches through the mountain, and there are lots of gem caves and geodes in this place. There is also information that we have stored in one of the back rooms. This is the writing of  Minato, the husband of  Queen Kinoko and father of  princess Amanita.

Ash read this, and she knew they were close. The fury was right, ever since she set foot in this forest she felt something different. The snow seemed lighter, the sun shined a little softer, and the pine seemed a bit greener. The tribe must have been looking for the crystals to make the 5 elemental seal barrier. The barrier was meant to protect the whole island, and to bring peace to each tribe. One dragon did it before, and it costed him his life and it cursed his whole family and tribe. The queen must have figured out it was too dangerous, so she wanted to find them to make sure no one did it. If one crystal was given to the right tribe it could bring peace to the one tribe. Ash walked to the back of the cave and laid down. She put her head on the dragonet's blanket to keep it warm and safe. After a few minutes, Coal came in with fire wood and started a fire.
"There was information in Shroomite on the walls about the crystals. There's one around here." She said. "Queen Amanita was here when she was young, because that writing is very old. It said that either the Flame or Wind crystal is here." She said.
"That's good news, but let's get some sleep first." Coal said. He was thinking about the tribes and how each had a crystal. The Sea Furies had the water Crystal that was hidden in the deepest part of the ocean. The Mushroom Furies had the earth Crystal, buried deep underground. The Volcanic Furies had the fire Crystal, said to be in a deep lava lake. The Sky Furies had the wind Crystal, which was stolen and buried either deep underground or in a sky island. The Storm Furies had the lightning Crystal, that could only be found in a golden lightning storm which happened once every 3,000 years. Coal opened up his eyes to see the snow falling heavily outside, and he looked over to see Ash and the dragonet sleeping. Not called the dragonet anymore, Koriyuki. The name of the late Snowy Owl Queen. She ruled over N'yrthgar when the owls ruled the land. She was said to be the first queen to rule there, and she was legendary at fighting with Ice Scimitars. After daydreaming for a bit, Coal actually laid his head down and fell asleep.
