Jase' POV

Friday after school came, and it was almost time for the county fair. After Vee and I hugged it out in the car yesterday, we both gave our reasons and opinions. It was a heated conversation, we both had emotions that were being set free, it was something that just happened out of anger. I forgave so easily because she's my sister of course, and I definitely know that when she's like that, she cares very much for me.

I told her that I'm not going to easily let go and forgive Jess for what she did, but I'm not going to give her the cold shoulder and be angry at her all the time. I know exactly how much I was hurt by her, but I just can't be rude to her, I can't do it.

Veronica told me that she's just afraid of me getting hurt again. Similar to what Camila said, she understands how big of a heart I have and how willing I am to look past the bad and see the good in people. She doesn't want me to get taken advantage of is what she also said.

We both came to a compromise though. Veronica promised to be civil towards Jessica today, as long as I confront her about 'that night' within a week at least. And if I don't, she's going to confront her herself. I'd rather not have my sister fight my battles for me, so I have to man up and get it over with.

I just hope I find the right time to do so.

The bell rang, signaling that the last and final period was over. It was time for homeroom, and after that, fair time. Or well, we go home first, get changed and all that stuff, and then fair time.

I headed out of the classroom and towards my homeroom, bumping into Kyleigh on the way there. We had the same homeroom, which is exactly how we became best friends. "So, you and Vee worked it out?" She asked me as we turned the corner of the hallway, entering our homeroom.

"We compromised something yeah," I nodded, as we took our usual seats, right in the middle. "We agreed that she'll be nice to Jess today as long as I talk to her about 'that night.'"

"That's good," my best friend commented as she took the seat in front of me and turned around to face me, "Dude you don't understand how scared I was when I saw you two arguing yesterday."

I looked up, forgetting that Kyleigh was so close to interfering with the both us yesterday, but Dom had stopped her. "Really? Why were you scared?" I asked curiously.

"Come on, it's you guys. You guys are freaking close. I mean, I've seen small arguments and bickering, but nothing as extreme as that," she mentioned. "I have to admit, Vee said some pretty harsh things, which was why I was going to join in with you guys because I hated seeing you two fight."

I smiled softly at the fact that my best friend really cares for my relationship with my sister. I mean I guess I should've known, she's basically like our third to a triplet. I became best friends with Kyleigh, which resulted in Veronica becoming best friends with her as well. I could see why she worries. It's because Vee and I are super close.

"I hated it too believe me, I'm glad I was able to realize what was happening and just stopped," I told her as I sat back in my seat.

"I'm glad too, or else I would've shoved Dom out of the way and stopped it myself," she giggled slightly, as did I.

"Speaking of Dom," I decided to change the subject giving my best friend a smirk.

"Um no speaking of Dom," Kyleigh interrupted me as she held up her hand, "You can't just change the subject like that."

"Dude I just have to know, do you think that there is something there between you guys?" I questioned her, acting pretty nosy now.

"Shut up Jase," she said as she turned around in her seat to face away from me.
