Chapter 1

The sounds of people buzzed around me. Their chittering and laughter somewhat annoyed me as always. I shoved my hands into my pockets and hurried down the hallway to my first class of the day. I despised history. Some of the history was covered up and was never taught, just to make the country look better than the others.

As I sat in my seat at the back corner of the room, I pulled out my phone to check for new messages on Linear, an app I used to contact gaming buddies. As I checked through them, the class started to fill up with more people. I quickly shoved my phone into my pocket as the girl who sat next to me arrived.

The day dragged on and finally school was out. I ran to my locker and grabbed everything I needed for that night. I slammed my locker shut and ran for the exit. As I turned a corner, I ran into a someone and fell.
"Watch where you're going, idiot."
I looked up to see the most popular guy in our school, Richard. He was fairly built and tall from being on the basketball team.

"I-I'm sorry." I got up and quickly walked away to the exit. I felt everyone's eyes on me as I walked on. There were some people whispering as well. I wanted to sprint for the door, but I knew that that would only bring more attention to me. That was the last thing I needed.

I was relieved when I finally reached my room. I turned on the computer and started up Stream and TypeSpeak3. Some of my normal online friends were on so I switched TypeSpeak3 channels to theirs and we discussed what we would be doing on "Arc: Survival Evolution" for that day. We later switched to "Gather and Craft" and continued working on our base. The rest of the day went by until I figured that I should start working on homework. I heard my mom come home some time as I clacked and clicked away on the keyboard and mouse, but as always, we never talked that day.

After completing all that annoying homework that many of us students hate, I went to lay in bed. I didn't want to go back to school tomorrow. Everyone at Arrow Point High School was going to know I crashed into Richard and tripped. As these thoughts went through my mind. I tossed and turned all night, trying to find peace to sleep. "Oh Adam, you're such an idiot," I mumbled to myself.
