chapter seven: secret place

"I hate girls like her, girls that don't support each other and bring other girls down." Eleanor said referring to Aubree "Neither do I, I wouldn't have started anything with her if she hadn't been so mean to me there's no reason for it." I said to her because it's true my mother always taught me to never be hateful towards other girls. We should empower one another not hurt each other. But I need to also show people that words can't hurt me.

"That's great, I'm proud of you." She said giggling. "I know." I smiled and smirked "Since Aubree was there we couldn't go to the floor so let's go back in the elevator." She said. I was still confused as to what exactly she meant by top dorm. "Let's go." I just said running inside with her.

Another song that we both knew had came up and we lightly sang this time so we wouldn't be caught in the same situation. "It feels like we've been going up forever." I said it took me so long to realise that we haven't even pressed a floor number. "Wait we haven't even pressed a number!" I said dying of laughter. "Oh shoot my bad I forgot" She asked laughing along.

"Which button is it?" I asked "The button isn't on there it's down here." She said leaning down to the wall corner where she tore off a little piece of the wall revealing a tiny button. "Woah what I would've never guessed" I said as she clicked on it. "Only you me and the girls know about this." She said as the elevator was going up. I felt the pressure of it going up pretty quickly "What about the boys?" I asked "Not even them." She whispered

"Why?" I asked her. Can they not be trusted or what? "It's just this is a girls place you know but we'll tell them someday but I feel like I can trust you." She said which made me happy. "Oh." I simply said as the elevator finally opened. I felt my eyes being covered.

"You ready?" I heard a voice say. It wasn't Eleanor's, it sounded like one of the other girls. "Depends." I joked. "Of course I'm ready!" I said I was excited that they already trusted me with their secret hideout place. "Okay in 1...2.....3!!!" Eleanor yelled taking her hands out of my eyes. Once she took them off, I was amazed at what I saw. It was like a whole other dorm room in here! Way bigger then a regular then a dorm room should look like. "The best part, there's a kitchen."  Carly said happily.

"And a bathroom with a shower." Shirley added. "How did you guys find this place?" I said still examining everything in here. "Well once Nicole and I were messing around drunk in the elevator, I guess my foot hit the corner clicking the button that lead us up here." Carly explained.

"And you can hang out here whenever you want." Nicole said. "Thanks you guys are the best I promise I won't tell anyone." I said and I meant it, I wasn't going to tell. Who is there to tell anyways? beside the boys ? I don't need to tell the boys because the girls said themselves that someday they would tell them. "No problem." Ellie said throwing herself on the couch. "So what do you guys usually do in here?" I asked taking a seat myself "We play video games or just simply relax here." Ashley said. "Sounds relaxing." I said.

"ah fucking shit!" I heard Carly scream from the kitchen. We all got up and ran to the kitchen wondering what happened. "I uh sort of burned our food." She nervously smiled. "I was looking forward to your fedichini pasta too!" Eleanor pouted

"What where do you get the pasta from? is there a grocery store in this school too?" I said surprised. "No silly! We sneak out of the school to buy some." Shirley said laughing.

"Oh right." I said embarrassed. "Why don't Mary and Shirley go buy us some food from the food court." Ashley suggested. "Yes please I'm hungry and I will explode in any minute." Eleanor said "Sure why not? Let's go Mary!" Shirley said skipping towards me. "Okay but if I go one of you have to take care of Landon." I said "Okay deal." Nicole said as she grabbed Landon from the table.
