Whispers bounced off the dark forest surrounding her.
"Eve."
She snapped her head down. Her desk once covered in colorful drawings was now dull and faded, the colors worn away if her desk was wood it probably would've rotted away.
Thick, thorny leafy tendrils spiraled up her desk and up to her waist binding her to her chair. They held her down cutting into her flesh in multiple places. The black plant smelled of rotten meat and dried blood. In the distance lay a small bright patch of light breaking through the sinister darkness.
Eve grabbed a vine from around her waist and started pulling it off. The plant moved quickly faster than a plant should move spinning around her and trying to reach her face, she gave out a shrill scream which echoed around her playing back to increase Eves panic.
Suddenly there was a yellow flash, and the horrendous creature gave an unearthly shriek, shrinking as it shriveled away from Eves body. It was all a blur to her as she got up and ran. Ran towards the little yellow patch of light her surroundings blurred. A flash of white caught her eye as she turned around and tried to see what it was she fell into the wonderful light.
Here she was standing in the most delightful meadow surrounded by tall trees, small bright flowers popped through the sun soaked grass. The daily life of the squirrels and birds broke through the leafy trees. Small voles and rabbits sniffed the grass while a deer stood in the distance staring towards Eves direction, it bolted into the woods becoming a brown blur. She turned around, suddenly uneasy of what lay behind her. It was just a green wall of trees and vegetation.
"Eve?! "
She started towards her name with out reason assuming this person was calling for her. She turned around once more unsure of why only to see more bright forest behind her. The same deer stood by a cheerful stream staring at her with eerie eyes.
" Eve? "
She walked towards the voice which was rather difficult because it was echoing around her.
" Alice! "
The voice said it seemed rather frustrated by this point.
She stopped confused. Alice? But she swore she heard Eve.
Suddenly a brown rabbit flew by. It stopped and ran back towards her it's long droopy ears dangled as it hopped around nibbling grass. It quickly scuttled behind a tree.
"Alice? " the forest whispered longingly.
" Yes I thought it was you Alice."said a voice behind her she turned around to see the most fluffiest whitest rabbit in existence. It stood delicately on its back paws, one hand behind its back and the other holding an open silver pocket watch checking the time. It's red velvet vest went well with its silky black jacket it had a black silk scarf tucked into its vest. it's ears stood up nice and proper to match it's stance.
The watch flicked closed with a sharp snap as it tucked it into an inside pocket. "You're always late you know, and with no excuse for it. " the rabbit sniffed, his sky blue eyes looking at her with disdain, he sounded cross with her in turn making her quite snappish.
"Well excuse me Mr snotty I didn't know I had an appointment! And my name is Eve not Alice! where am I you silly creature?!" she said all this rather huffy because she was quite close to tears.
He waited a moment before replying, "Your name is Alice, and you did in fact happen to have an appointment and before you cut me off my name is Calsifur and you are nowhere" Calsifur spoke with an English accent so his words came out much kinder.
Alice stood for a moment before collapsing onto the sweet fresh grass. She lay bewildered staring up at the perfect afternoon sky.
"See even the narrator knows you're Alice, I like the word bewildered good choice old friend. " Calsifur said sounding rather smug, although there seemed to be a tinge of regret in his voice.
Alice continued staring up at the sky. She noticed the blond wave of hair on her shoulders, how she was wearing a dress she never wore dresses this one was blue and puffy with a white apron and she felt a tugging on her head if she had to guess it was a black headband. Classic Alice in Wonderland.
"well my dear Alice, I will see you as soon as you call, don't forget" Calsifur said
Eve abruptly sat up "wait!" she looked up to find herself in her bedroom. Hundreds of drawings and papers lay plastered on the walls some happy some sad some cute some scary some in colour or not but out of all those pictures and paintings one caught her eye. As it stared at her with a question in its eyes she exclaimed in shock.
It's was a picture of a rabbit standing on its hind legs.
It had a fancy vest and jacket on with a small scarf tucked into its vest while holding a silver pocket watch.
It was the most fluffiest whitest rabbit in existence.
